That Black Caviar Lightning Stakes has the sharpest sprinters in the land for the only 1000m G1 in Australia. The race is run down the Flemington straight and sees many of those who were there back in November in the Champions Sprint.

Included in the nominations are G1 winners Nature Strip, Roch 'N' Horse, September Run, Marabi, Coolangatta, Bella Nipotina and Shelby Sixtysix plus the Golden Eagle winner I Wish I Win.

The 3yos have two important G3s with the CS Hayes Stakes for the boys and The Vanity for the girls.

In the CS Hayes Elliptical is the big name from his G1 placings in the Spring but other young horses on the rise like Attrition, Brosnan, Cadetship and Foujita San are entered.

The Vanity sees plenty of winning form lines and quality as Boogie Dancer returns to face the likes of Call Di and Wollombi from Sydney plus Nunthorpe and See You In Heaven.

Renowned journalist Tony Bourke is honoured with a memorial in his name for the G3 Frances Tressady Stakes which has the return of Sydney Oaks winner El Patroness and Australasian Oaks winner Glint Of Hope.

Last chance for the babies to shine before the Blue Diamond comes up in the Talindert Stakes and among the 30 entries, only three of them have won a race with two of them from Godolphin.
