Plenty of G2 action at Rosehill on Saturday with some critical lead ups for major races to come.
The main race is the 2023 Hobartville Stakes which will be a forerunner to the Guineas races in coming weeks.
Over the Rosehill 1400m, we see the likes of Aft Cabin coming off his sensational Eskimo Prince win plus the next four over the line from that race as well. As well that there is the Victoria Derby winner Manzoice, kiwi Pier and fillies like Pavitra entered.
In what could well be a vital preparation for the Golden Slipper, the Silver Slipper is run over 1100m with two major combatants likely there in King's Gambit and Platinum Jubilee.
Nominations were extended for that race as well as for the Millie Fox Stakes for the fillies and mares as they chase important G2 status. Included so far are Mariamia, Electric Girl and Roots.
Some of the stayers begin to get active toward a Sydney Cup in the 1900m Listed Parramatta Cup. They include King Frankel, No Compromise and Selino.
