They cross the border for the first time since officially becoming a training partnership at the start of the 2022-23 racing season which has been a successful one having produced 15 winners from 77 starters striking at just shy of 20 per cent runners to winners.

Validated, purchased for $40,000 from the Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale, has won four of his seven starts for $217,580 in prizemoney - $66,900 coming from Racing Rewards SA bonuses.

He returned form a short break to win impressively at Murray Bridge and Peter Blanch said it was an opportune time to head interstate.

"We're throwing him in the deep end a little bit,'' Blanch said.

"This is a really good opportunity late in the season to see where he sits.

"We could have waited another week and gone back in trip and run in the Lightning, I wasn't totally against doing that, but this race suits and he's come through his first-up win nicely,'' he said.

Locally they'll saddle up Cool The Jets on the quick back up from a handy effort from an awkward barrier when sixth behind Merchant Boss last week.

Cool The Jets is again faced with a tricky barrier and Blanch said any Adelaide rain on race day would enhance his chances.

"He's drawn wide again but hopefully they can be making ground out there,'' Blanch said.

"Last week's run didn't knock him around, he bounced through that and the one thing we know is he likes the wet conditions,'' he said.
