Unspoken continued his winning streak at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday and claimed the $2M Five Diamonds (1800m).

The race was run at a farcical tempo, with Punter's Intelligence recording leader Zoumon running the first 1200m in 1:16.32.

To put that into perspective, it was approximately 10 lengths slower than the Benchmark 78 event over 1800m for that section.

Unspoken was perfectly ridden by Tom Sherry, with the gelding stalking the speed throughout.

Further, he was presented at the top of the straight, accelerated hard between the 400m-200m, clocking a sharp 10.96 for that section and held off the late challengers.

He has gone to a new level this preparation, being in his second Australian campaign, and can continue to improve.

Runner-up Zoumon had all favours but was only second-up, giving away a fitness edge, and he now has a platform to build off.

Detonator Jack was honest, running into third and recorded one of the meeting fastest final 200m splits in 10.95.

Democracy Manifest had too much to do racing wide albeit with cover and made a long-sustained sprint. He ran the second-fastest final 600m sectional of the race in 32.85.

Hope In Your Heart ran the quickest last 600m of the race in 32.84, and Waterford was only a tick behind in 32.86.

Forgive the well-backed Antino, who had genuine post-race excuses.

Shangri La Express charged into outright Golden Slipper favouritism after another impressive display in the $1M Golden Gift (1100m).

The Waterhouse & Bott galloper was ridden up to lead from a wide draw and recorded a fast overall pace rating.

Moreover, his first 500m in 29.48 was approximately 8 lengths quicker for that section relative to a direct comparison being the Benchmark 78 event over 1100m.

Even after that early work, he still recorded the fifth fastest final 600m of the race in 34.47 and was strong to the line.

The well-educated two-year-old has proven he can handle different race shapes and can only improve from this outing.

Rue De Royale was checked/blocked at critical stages, but to his credit, once clear, he reeled off the race's quickest final 200m in 11.49.

Volatile raced well but had excuses and Climactic was honest on debut after chasing the hot speed.

War Council got too far back and lost touch with the field after being restrained from a wide draw.

He clocked the race's fastest final 600m in 33.99, and he can improve sharply next start from a softer draw.

It's worth noting some other sectional standout performers across the meeting.

Roots bounced back into the winner's stall, and returning to her home track with the blinkers going on was the key to her success.

The Chris Waller galloper smashed the clock in the Group 2 Hot Danish (1400m), and she can continue to progress.

Miss Hellfire was resuming over an unsuitable distance in the Benchmark 78 event over 1100m, and she reeled off the fastest closing splits of the meeting.

The mare wasn't suited to the sit/sprint race shape but ran her final 600m/400m/200m sectionals in 32.41/21.34/10.83. Follow her in a similar grade over more ground.

Contemporary was another runner unsuited by the pace of the race in the final event, and he had to exert too much energy between the 600m-200m. He ran a slick 21.65 for that section before peaking on his run.

The Godolphin galloper now has a strong platform and is ready to peak third-up.
