The training partnership are coming off their biggest win following The Map's dominant victory over 2800m at Flemington on Melbourne Cup Day.

"Flemington was a great result, winning on the big stage, it was good to see,'' Clarken said.

"It was a beautiful steer by Jamie (Kah), everything came to fruition,'' he said.

Clarken said they did consider going back to Melbourne for a race at Sandown but will instead aim up at the Skybeau Series Final, a race The Map scored a dominant 4.5 length win in last year, at Morphettville this weekend.

"I was going to go to Sandown for the Zipping Classic, but that's weight for age,'' Clarken said.

"She'll stay here and go around in Skybeau Final.

"She gets 63kg with her rating, 2kg comes off being a mare, so I think we'll use the 1.5kg claim of Ben (Price) and she gets in with 59.5kg which puts her right in the race,'' Clarken said.

Clarken said the stable have their sights on next year's Adelaide Cup and would take a different path to the feature.

"I don't want to put her out in the paddock, we'll do things a bit different to last year after everything went wrong,'' Clarken said.

"We'll just poke around and head towards the Bagot Handicap in Melbourne in January.

"From there that leads in well to the Lord Reims and then the Adelaide Cup all going well,'' he said.

Stablemate Thirsty Guest could also back up in the Happy Trails Final after his return to winning form at Morphettville on Saturday.

"(I'm not sure) whether we back him up next Saturday, he hasn't backed up that well in the past,'' Clarken said.

Jake Toeroek took the ride for the first time and said Thirsty Guest had all the makings of a nice horse when he puts it all together on race day.

"When he works it out, he's going to be a serious horse,'' Toeroek said.
