The Group 1 Northerly Stakes is the feature event on day four of The Pinnacles.

The penultimate day of The Pinnacles has the Group 1 Northerly Stakes (1800m) as the feature event on the day, and rightfully so.

Proven performer Zaaki has made the trip over and although he hasn't won this time in, he has run ratings that can see him coming out on top this Saturday. I won't dive into the Northerly too much as one of Racing & Sports great young minds Trent Crebbin has produced a breathtaking preview on the Group 1 feature, which you can ready here!

Head to race three on the card where Demolish (last week's best bet) comes up as the early favourite, but despite being keen on him last week, I want to be against this week.

Demolish has raced on the quick back-up twice in his career, winning once off an eight day break, but importantly for our case, he didn't improve his rating. He looked to have every chance last time out and was out-stayed by one close to the line. There's enough knocks for me to look elsewhere, and my head turns straight to DUN WITH THE BLUES.

The four-year-old daughter of Dundeel had to quicken off a very modedrate tempo last time out, finishing in faster splits over 2100m than Demolish did over 1800m on the same card. She bumped into a progressive horse well positioned in the run last time out and found herself in a tricky position approaching the home turn as Clint Johnston-Porter stuck close to the inside to rally through for second.

Drawing away from the inside means she may be able to get rolling a little earlier if the tempo is sedate and show her strength right through to the finish.

Aptly named FINAL SIREN (out of the dam Dawinner) could be a horse destined for bigger and better things.

Her first two runs have been sensational, stopping the clock in fast time and doing so from the front, leading all the way to score by 5.6 and 3.5 lengths respectively.

She now has to make the jump to this company, but rates right alongside her main market dangers with Racing and Sports, all of which will be spotting Final Siren a start as she's likely to lead from a favourable alley.

There's nothing Rebecca Bayliss or Kyra Yuill are running scared of in the Amelia Park Plate, and the 1000m sprint trip may suit her a little better than some of her rivals.
