The provincial card will see eight races won and run.

The rail will be out 3m and the track is currently rated a good 5.

Our Ladbrokes preview can be found below.

RACE 1 - 5:55PM: LADBROKE IT! MAIDEN PLATE SW (2025 METRES)

Mariner's Dream has been placed in four his five starts and looks the obvious top pick here.

When stepping out over this course and distance at just his third start the son of Merchant Navy worked strongly to the line but just found one better on the day.

He then went to 2200m but wanted to overdo it in the early part which just brought him undone late.

With a seven week freshen up he produced a very encouraging run last start over 1755.

The rise in trip will suit and in a race that doesn't appear to have much depth, he should prove very hard to beat.

Luke Nolan goes onboard the Annabel Neasham trained gelding.

RACE 2 - 6:25PM: BROWNS SAWDUST & SHAVINGS MAIDEN PLATE SW (1200 METRES)

Trapeze Warrior makes his raceday debut.

A son of Trapeze Artist, he's been well prepared for this having had a handful of jump outs and his most recent was very impressive.

Sent for a break after his fourth jump ou,t he hasn't been rushed and his two recent hit outs show that he's ready to go.

Winning an 800m heat at Pakenham by a big space late last month the beautifully bred colt has certainly got plenty of natural speed and looks to do everything right.

Zac Spain takes the mount for Phillip Stokes and he's drawn to receive every chance.

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 2

RACE 3 - 6:55PM: POLYTRACK MAIDEN PLATE SW (1400 METRES)

Lady Of Savoy is knocking on the door and gets her chance to break through here.

Her most recent run was full of merit.

Off a wide run around the Valley she charged home late to just go down by the barest of margins.

A narrow runner up in all three appearances this campaign the Tivaci filly comes here hard fit and will relish the step to 1400m.

Zac Spain will do the steering and with any luck in running, she'll be very hard to beat.

1 unit – LADY OF SAVOY

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 3

RACE 4 - 7:25PM: HYGAIN MAIDEN PLATE SW (1600 METRES)

Hydrate resumes for new trainer Julius Sandhu.

Formally prepared by Danny O'Brien, the Irish bred galloper has only had the two starts and whilst he hasn't showed a lot on the racetrack he did have excuses at his second start.

He's been given two recent jump outs and looked good winning his most recent over 1200m.

Both the cross over noseband and tongue tie have been removed and from barrier four he'll be given every chance under Craig Newitt.

1 unit – HYDRATE

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 4

RACE 5 - 7:55PM: CHRIS NEWMAN ELECTRICS HANDICAP 0-64 (1600 METRES)

Simeon hasn't been far away in recent runs and drops back slightly in grade.

Two starts back he faded late after working hard early to take up the running and last time he just found one better on the night but stuck on well to hold second.

Fitter for the three runs back the son of Pierro looks ideally placed here.

He will need a touch of luck from the awkward gate but Thomas Stockdale is riding in terrific form and he takes the mount for Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young.

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 5

RACE 6 - 8:25PM: AFC - PETER & LEVELLA DAROS HANDICAP 0-64 (1400 METRES)

King's Taj comes off a solid second up victory.

The Written Tycoon gelding resumed with a terrific first up effort over 1203m where he was taken back to last off the wide gate and circled the field, making good ground over the final part.

Last time, he enjoyed an economical run and proved too strong in a BM58 at Bendigo.

With the two runs under his belt he looks well placed here at 1400m.

Anthony and Sam Freedman have engaged Thomas Stockdale to do the steering and he's set to get the gun run from gate three.

RACE 7 - 8:55PM: DESIGNER COOLROOMS HANDICAP CLASS 1 (1200 METRES)

Ginger 'N' Pink broke through for her maiden victory in good style last start on the Sandown Lakeside.

Kicking off her preparation, the daughter of Zoustar returned in top order and it was good to see her get the job done after a luckless winter campaign.

With only the five career starts she looks to have plenty of upside.

Thomas Stockdale retains the ride for Peter Moody and Katherine Coleman and the team have elected to remove the nose roll.

She does a tendency to over race so hopefully this will help her to relax and if she does that, she should prove hard to beat.

1 unit – GINGER 'N' PINK

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 7

RACE 8 - 9:25PM: BEACHWOOD HOMES HANDICAP BM64 (1000 METRES)

Philosopher proved far too good when returning from almost a year off the scene.

Over the 1000m at Mornington, the four year old son of Zoustar was held together just in behind the leader and shot clear at the top the straight to put up a two length margin on the line.

The talented galloper won well on debut as a two year old before taking on some much stronger races.

He then joined the Enver Jusufovic yard where he had the one run but failed and subsequently spent eleven months on the sidelines.

The Cranbourne trainer looks have him in top order and he's elected to go with the claim, booking Luke Cartwright to take 3kgs off.

1 unit – PHILOSOPHER

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 8
