With drying conditions the track is currently rated a soft 5 and the rail will be out 9m. Our Ladbrokes preview can be found below.

RACE 1 - 6:15PM: THANK YOU KEVIN WYNNE MAIDEN PLATE SW (1000 METRES)

Jessup resumes having placed in seven of his eight starts to date, the Epaulette gelding is certainly due to break through.

He looked sharp in a recent 800m jump out here and the 1000m sprint first up looks ideal.

Graham Begg has elected to apply the blinkers for the first time and the Jordan Childs will do the steering.

1 unit – JESSUP

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 1

RACE 2 - 6:45PM: FREEWAY FORD 3YO FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE (1000 METRES)

Edge Of Seventeen turned out a very nice effort on debut at Mornington.

After jumping away well she was allowed to settle just off the speed and tried hard in the straight, working strongly through the line to claim third.

With the experience under her belt the daughter of Snitzel is sure to improve.

Zac Spain retains the ride for the inform Philip Stokes yard and she's set to receive every chance from the inside draw.

1 unit – EDGE OF SEVENTEEN

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 2

RACE 3 - 7:15PM: NEW ZEALAND BLOODSTOCK KARAKA 2024 4YO+ MAIDNE PLATE (1200 METRES)

There was plenty of merit in the debut performance of New York Lustre.

From an awkward gate the mare jumped away well and found herself three deep without cover.

She travelled well and despite the wide run, fought on strongly to hold third with a further 1.8 lengths back to fourth.

With good natural improvement she looks ideally placed here up to 1200m.

Carleen Hefel retains the ride for Enver Jusufovic and with any luck from the draw, she'll be right in this.

2 units – NEW YORK LUSTRE

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 3

RACE 4 - 7:45PM: HERTZ MAIDEN PLATE (1400 METRES)

Mawhera just had the one start back in September before being sent to the paddock.

Looking very raw on debut, he wanted to lay in down the straight and didn't seem to have any idea what he was there to do.

The son of Darci Brahma returns to the races a gelding and has performed well in two recent jump outs, working through the line strongly on both occasions.

He's drawn to ger the right run under Jake Noonan, who takes the mount for the Busuttin /Young team.

1 unit – MAWHERA

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 4

RACE 5 - 8:15PM: R & C ASPHALT 0-64 HANDICAP (2080 METRES)

Highland Hill wasn't beaten far when resuming from a twenty week break back in November.

Kicking off over 2021m he was sent forward to take up the running after originally settling at the tail and he just felt the pinch over the final 100m.

The son of Highland Reel was then given a seven week let up and raced ungenerously when restrained at the rear.

Fitter for the two runs back he looked ideally placed here at this trip and from gate two, he can settle up on the speed under Zac Spain.

1 unit – HIGHLAND HILL

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 5

RACE 6 - 8:45PM: PROCON DEVELOPEMENTS BM64 (1300 METRES)

Movader kickes off her preparation.

The Maher and Eustace trained mare boasts a very tidy record and she performed well last campaign in some much tougher races.

She has been placed in both first up runs and was given a very easy time in two recent jump outs.

A daughter of noted wet tracker, Invader, she too excels on wet tracks so any give in the ground will only enhance her chances.

1 unit – MOVADER

BET NOW: Cranbourne race 6

RACE 7 - 9:15PM: GRAND RIDGE ARENAS CLASS 1 HANDICAP (1200 METRES)

Wellie Belle returns to the races.

The Danerich mare showed good natural talent last campaign after returning from almost a year off the scene.

Only beaten narrowly first up, she then when on to break her maiden in style, posting a six length victory at Bendigo.

Her two runs following that were full of merit.

She comes here off two jump outs, the most recent she worked strongly through the line under little pressure.

1 unit E/W – WELLIE BELLE

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 7

RACE 8 - 9:45PM: LADBROKES BLACKBOOK BM58 HANDICAP (1000 METRES)

Accending kicked off her career in fine stye with a commanding victory over 1100m at Traralgon.

The Street Boss filly took up the running and never gave her competitors a look in as she careered away to put up a 4.75 length margin.

Whilst she was unable to keep an unbeaten record, going down by just over a length at her next outing, she does looks to have plenty of upside.

Luke Cartwright takes the mount for Jerome Hunter and will take 3kgs off.

3 units – ACCENDING

BET NOW: Cranbourne Race 8
