Randwick-Kensington will host Sydney's metro midweek meeting on Wednesday, and seven races are on the program.

The weather has been mostly fine in the greater Sydney metropolitan region throughout the weekend and into Monday and at publish, we're faced with a track rated in the Good (4) range.

RACE 1 - 2:20PM: Earthlight First Yearlings Plate (1250m)
All eight horses engaged in the first at Randwick-Kensington are on debut.
There is some excellent breeding involved in some of these gallopers, including Railway Man, by I Am Invincible and out of Booker.
Railway Man has returned three decent trials in the lead-up to this debut and is further buoyed by the booking of James McDonald.
RACE 2 - 2:55PM: James Squire Handicap (1550m)
Miss Chenery turned in a decent effort on debut at Warwick Farm and looks up to breaking her maiden this week.
The Chris Waller-trained filly didn't show a whole lot at the trials, but turned in a nice performance to finish just off the pace of La Freccia in the 1400m maiden.
I'm confident that she'll take big improvement for that experience, while breeding suggests that the rise in trip will also suit.
RACE 3 - 3:30PM: Ole Kirk First Yearlings Handicap (1550m)
I'm confident that the drop in class that Centrestone gets this week will see a return to winning form as well.
Centrestone's first two runs back showed plenty of improvement, and included a smart win in BM78 company up in Brisbane, before another eye-catching effort behind the talented Midnight In Tokyo.
She finished down the order in Saturday metro company at Rosehill last week, but strips fitter for it and is drawn ideally here under James McDonald.
RACE 4 - 4:05PM: Ranvet Handicap (1250m)
Xidaki steps out on Wednesday third-up and primed to strike.
The Team Snowden-trained galloper is yet to turn in a poor performance, and finished within half a length of the winner on the main track here at Randwick first-up, before chasing home Hanau last time out.
Fitter third-up, this looks a perfect opportunity for him to break his maiden.
RACE 5 - 4:40PM: The Stud & Stable Staff Awards Handicap (1800m)
This is a quality race with a few key winning chances engaged, but I am going to stick with the second-up Morning Sun.
The British import ended his northern hemisphere tenure with consecutive wins back in May last year, and was eye-catching when second in BM72 company on debut in Australia.
He is a horse that has tended to enjoy sharp improvement into his second-up appearances, and something like this looks well within his abilities.
RACE 6 - 5:15PM: Drinkwise Handicap (1250m)
Demitasse is yet to strike in three runs back from a break, but he should relish a drop in class at Randwick-Kensington on Wednesday.
Demitasse has been a competitive horse for Paul Messara and his team since debuting, and he certainly wasn't terrible when just two lengths behind the likes of High Blue Sea in his last appearance at Rosehill.
With even luck this week, and really does shape as a perfect opportunity for him to return to winning form.
RACE 7 - 5:50PM: Heat Of The Rising Star (1250m)
Hanau faces a rise in class at Randwick-Kensington this week, but he couldn't have been more impressive at his latest start, and this does look the next logical step for him to take.
Hanau split talented galloper Fire Tribe and Xidaki here at Randwick on Boxing Day and kicked clear to break his maiden last time out.
Fitter third-up, he just requires a little luck in running again to be right in the finish.
