The training partnership of Tony Sears and daughter Maddysen is hopeful of continuing its recent run of good form with its sole starter at Doomben on Wednesday.

Team Sears made the trip to the Sunshine Coast on Sunday and were successful with the Joe Pride cast-off Dear Prudence who was making her stable debut in a 1000-metre maiden.

It was the fourth win for the stable this month and the seventh over the past four weeks.

Dear Prudence and Red Top were among the Doomben nominations on Wednesday but the Sears stable will wait another day with Red Top.

"Red Top got too much weight with 63kgs and Dear Prudence won on Sunday so we'll only go with Goldeel on Wednesday," said Tony Sears.

Goldeel will run in the Class Five Handicap over 1350 metres and Team Sears is hopeful she can further boost the stable's strike rate.

Goldeel – an Angela Jones mount - has started 18 times for four wins and as many placings and is coming off a strong finishing fourth to the Mick Lakey-trained Moonan Me in a 1350-metre Benchmark 75 race at Doomben on February 1.

"Her last run was okay so I think she's got a rough hope again," Sears said.

Goldeel was touted as a possible Queensland Oaks contender as a three-year-old.

Her mother Anagold ran in the Queensland Oaks won by Kiwi filly Quintessential in 2012 before she won the Ipswich Cup in 2013.

Sears in unsure when Red Top will run next but it's likely to be at a Saturday meeting.

Red Top was a close up fourth last start in a 1400-metre Class Three at Eagle Farm on February 3.

A three times winner in 22 starts, the son of Top Echelon finished ninth, beaten less than six lengths by Knight's Choice, in the Group 3 Winx Stakes at the Sunshine Coast in July last year.

Meanwhile Sears's stable star Yellow Brick is back in work.

Yellow Brick, a six-times winner from 12 starts, was given a decent break of three months and has bulked up since his last start when he beat one runner home in the Silver Eagle at Randwick in mid-October.

"He's been back in work a month and he's no ready to start trialling yet," Sears said.

"We're going to take our time with him and nothing is set in stone just yet but the Stradbroke will be his goal."

Tony Sears is yet to win at the highest level and his best performance was with Sister Teresa who ran fourth in the Group 1 Queensland Oaks at Eagle Farm in 1988.
