Winning Trainer: Lloyd Kennewell & Lucy Yeomans (Kennewell speaking)
On the win: "It's good. It's good to be back in the home town and steal a win with that horse, he's been a nice to us over the years but he's just lacked winning a race lately, he was stiff on the Gold Coast and he got a 13 out of 10 ride by Jamie today."
Well travelled horse: "We always thought a bit of him, he ran second in a Caulfield Guineas Prelude, and he got beat a length and a half in the Caulfield Guineas, that was the first time he's been back to a mile so it's just good to see him in the winner's circle for a great team of owners, he won a couple hundred thousand on the Gold Coast, he's ventured back to Melbourne, back to Adelaide, they've done a good job… there's a heap of guys, it's really good."
Ran in a Coolmore at three: "Had a throw at the stumps and I reckon he was ridden pretty poorly but at the end of the day his form probably shows he's probably not up to that sort of race but great for the whole team at home, I think they do a really good job."
Returning to Adelaide: "Something in the water here isn't there? It winds back the clock a bit for me, coming home, I feel a bit nervous coming home every now and then because I don't normally do, it's good to get winners here and carnival time, everyone wants a winner."
"I felt supremely confident with Jamie on and knowing we were going to have clear air and he took care of business- twelve year anniversary for the Adelaide Cup- happy!"
Winning Jockey: Jamie Kah
Rode him to maiden win: "I remember him back then, he was a lovely horse, unfortunately we couldn't keep him a colt back then because he would've made a nice colt in the end but he's a very talented horse, just needs everything to go his way and last start I just rode him a bit too close, we're just learning a lot of little things about him at the moment. I think today was just perfect for him, he needs to get cover, settle, and a short sprint home and he's a classy horse, he just needs you to ride him perfect out there."
Strong late: "He was. I know he's always strong at the end of his races but the other day it was either 'does he not get the trip' or 'just need to be ridden quieter' so today I rode him quieter and it worked."
Rides for Clarken & MacGillivray in Cup: "I'll make it up for them soon!"
