Winning Trainer: Peter and Paul Snowden (Paul comments)
On the win: "Her run at Flemington the other day was huge. She hasn't learned to relax, that's probably the best speed she has sat off and taken an opportunity to relax."
On last start: "How she overdid it early and mid-race, there was only one horse that could beat her, the favourite and it just had the nice drop inside her and it only beat her a length.
"We knew she could run six (furlongs, 1200m), it was just a matter of getting those racing mannerisms right early and she could finish off so that was good.
On the Slipper?: "We'll see how she goes. We never make a decision on game day. Obviously, you only get a chance once and she's a very tough filly so it wouldn't be beyond her. We'll give her every opportunity."
Win a surprise?: "It wasn't a shock, it was just a matter of how easy we were going to get across and how much juice we were going to use, if she was going to relax and switch off, all that type of thing.
"It was good to see her do what she did. She was strong late."
Winning Jockey: Tom Sherry
On the performance: "She's very professional for a horse that everything has come quite quickly. She raced at Hawkesbury, won a maiden, went to Melbourne and is back here today. She's got a lot of attributes. She began really well today and I didn't really want to disappoint her."
"I saw that the two of Gai (Waterhouse's) weren't showing much intent so we got into that spot, it took her a couple of strides but she did relax quite nicely afterwards. She was in a beautiful rhythm, she came up underneath me at the top of the straight. I always had a real high opinion of her, the question mark was the 1200 but with her attitude, she's phenomenal."
What would it mean to ride in Slipper if the filly pulls up well?: "Oh, we'll blow them away again, won't we? Keep it easy. The team no doubt think they have a nice filly and I'm sure they'll do what's best for her."
Beaten Jockeys:
Zac Lloyd (Castanya): "A bit unfortunate. Obviously she hasn't had the ideal lead up for this race and the track is too wet for her. She never got comfortable up the straight. Think you will see a good horse next prep."
Jason Collett (Fly Fly): "She loomed up to put them away but just had to make too long a run."
Tim Clark (Chateau Miraval): "She ran really well."
Dylan Gibbons (Totoka): "She is wanting further but I think she has just come to the end of it as well."
Regan Bayliss (Southern Charm): "She was OK."
James McDonald (She Smashes): "Really nice filly. Did a good job today."
Rachel King (Valabing): "Just running on her nerves at the moment. Might just need a break."
Tom Marquand (Itszarbaby): "Travelled up well on the inside. Just that inexperience told in the last couple of furlongs."
