Talented three-year-old Sir Sway shapes as a horse with a bright future after claiming his third win in just five starts on the Parks at Morphettville on Saturday.
Sir Sway was a Naracoorte winner on debut before making it two from two when successful at Penola in January, Saturday's success the Sue and Jason Jaensch-trained gallopers first at city level and his first with Todd Pannell in the saddle.
It was a confident ride by Pannell who opted to press forward early and overcome a sticky barrier.
"He's done a big job doing it at both ends,'' Pannell said.
"He did it all on the bridle, we were able to get a good breather down the side.
"He's a small lightly framed horse and when a horse does it at both ends, you know they have got a bit of ability,'' he said.
Todd Pannell grabbed himself a double with Sir Sway and the well supported Storyteller late in the day.
He shared riding honours with Jake Toeroek who claimed a race to race double aboard Tres Belle and Lonrodex.
Toeorek was quick to credit Lonrodex's trainer Sarah Rutten who has only had the horse for a short time and has produced three winners and four placings from her past 10 runners.
"Sarah's only got a small team, but she does a great job,'' Toeroek said.
"He's got a couple of problems, but being a small team she can nurse him along and she always has her horses around the mark,'' he said.
