Though multiple Group 1 winner Militarize has been scratched to instead contest the George Ryder Stakes, the likes of Riff Rocket, Tom Kitten and King Colorado remain, and the Rosehill Guineas looms as one of the more intriguing races on Golden Slipper Day.

Check out my full runner-by-runner guide and Rosehill Guineas preview below.

2024 Rosehill Guineas Betting Strategy

3 Units Riff Rocket (Win)
1 Unit Immediacy (Win)

1 – Militarize (7)

Militarize has been scratched from the 2024 Rosehill Guineas field.

BET NOW: Militarize

2 – Riff Rocket (8)

Riff Rocket was a dual acceptor in the Ranvet Stakes field, but this is the avenue that trainer Chris Waller and connections have elected to take, and he has firmed $5 into $3.10.

Enjoyed a meteoric rise to prominence in spring, culminating in a dominant Victoria Derby win, whole his fresh performance and win in the CS Hayes Stakes this time was outstanding.

Having made up ground to finish third in the Australian Guineas last time out, the 2000m this weekend is ideal, and he will take a power of beating.

BET NOW: Riff Rocket

3 – Café Millenium (6)

Owned one of the eye-catching performances in the Randwick Guineas last time out, and this is the next logical point of call for Café Millenium.

Didn't show a lot in three Spring Carnival starts last year, and after finishing down the order in the Hobartville, there is no doubt at all that his performance in Group 1 company last time out was the best of his career to date.

Shapes as a genuine Top 3 chance from a good barrier.

BET NOW: Cafe Millenium

4 – Tom Kitten (2)

Yet to show his best in three runs back this time, but has been on the steady improve with each, and gets back to ideal conditions this weekend.

Ended his 2023 campaign with a deserved Group 1 victory in the Spring Champion Stakes, while there's also no doubt that his best performance this time in came in the Randwick Guineas when fourth, beaten less than a length.

Hugh Bowman is back in Australia to ride, and the horse has attracted plenty of interest in Rosehill Guineas betting.

BET NOW: Tom Kitten

KING COLORADO.

5 – King Colorado (3)

King Colorado was a big disappointment in the Australian Guineas at his latest appearance, but his form prior to that was promising.

A winner in Group 1 company during his two-year-old season, the Kingman colt actually hasn't managed to find his way back into the winner's stall since then (June 10th), but has continued to race well around some of his age group's best.

Steps out this week in peak order and should be given every chance by regular ride, Mark Zahra.

BET NOW: King Colorado

6 – Ganbare (4)

Ganbare has finished down the order in each of his first two runs back from a break.

He has drawn well into the Rosehill Guineas field and is further boosted by the booking of Tim Clark, but big improvement would be required for him to be in the finish.

BET NOW: Ganbare

IMMEDIACY.

7 – Immediacy (12)

Immediacy puts an unbeaten record on the line in the Rosehill Guineas and looks to be a key winning chance again.

The Tarzino gelding stamped himself as one to watch by winning on debut at Cranbourne back in December and has won each of his two subsequent starts, including the Group 2 Autumn Classic at Caulfield last month.

Breeding suggests that any rise in trip should suit, and while this is another reasonably steep rise in class, he has continued to jump as the bar has been raised.

BET NOW: Immediacy

8 – Cap Ferrat (9)

Cap Ferrat has finished down the order in each of his first two runs back from a break.

The booking of Ryan Moore does help his chances this week, but he looks unlikely to trouble a few of these rivals.

BET NOW: Cap Ferrat

9 – Ceolwulf (11)

The third-up Ceolwulf has attracted interest in early Rosehill Guineas betting ($19 into $13 at publish).

Well beaten in the Hobartville Stakes here first-up from a break, but kept his best work for late when sixth, beaten just over a length in the Randwick Guineas.

By Tavistock, getting out to 2000m looks to suit.

BET NOW: Ceolwulf

10 – Ducasse (1)

Ducasse returned to action with a fine performance and win in maiden company at Warwick Farm, but has since finished down the order in black type company.

Will need plenty to go right and others not to fire.

BET NOW: Ducasse

11 – Cosmic Lad (10)

Cosmic Lad went up at huge Rosehill Guineas odds and has continued to drift.

This race looks a bridge too far at this point of his career.

BET NOW: Cosmic Lad

12 – Steel Blaze (5)

Steel Blaze is the rank outsider in 2024 Rosehill Guineas betting.

He hasn't shown nearly enough to instil any confidence in a race of this quality.

BET NOW: Steel Blaze
