Lady Of Camelot showed versatility and overcame difficulties to win the feature Group 1 Golden Slipper (1200m) at Rosehill Gardens on Saturday.

The race was run at a fast pace, with Punter's Intelligence recording stablemate Shangri La Express clocking 35.20 for the first 600m.

Lady Of Camelot was blocked for a run when the sprint went on, but to jockey Blake Shinn's credit, he bided his time, and when the gap came, the filly immediately accelerated.

Her late strength was full of merit after sitting handy to that tempo and still recording the race's quickest final 200m in 11.38.

Further, the overall time in 1:09.76 was approximately 2 lengths faster than the Listed Darby Munro Stakes (1200m) and 0.5 lengths quicker than the Group 3 Birthday Card Stakes (1200m).

Runner-up Coleman was well ridden but was honest in defeat and looked the winner after sprinting a sharp 11.01 between the 400m-200m.

Forgive Storm Boy, who was slow out, forced back into the inferior ground and indicated he is looking for more ground.

Manaal was a flashing light run, and she just had way too much to do from the wide barrier after being restrained.

Although run to suit, she made up significant ground, clocking the race's fastest final 600m in 33.44. She is on an upwards ratings spiral and will excel over 1400m.

Eneeza was another runner who got too far back, but he sprinted the races quickest 400m-200m in 10.94 and can settle closer with a more favourable draw.

One of the more highly anticipated gallopers on Saturday was import Via Sistina, and she lived up to the hype with an ultra-impressive victory.

The mare settled at the rear of the field in a farcically run race, but she easily put her rivals away and recorded slick closing sectionals.

Further, she travelled well into it, ran the fastest final 600m sectional of the entire meeting in 32.81 and was eased down prior to the line.

She can handle all race shapes, but expect her to excel in a genuinely run Group 1 Queen Elizabeth Stakes over 2000m, where she is currently a dominant favourite.

Place Du Carrousel was also making her Australian debut, and she was honest in defeat, running second. She ran the race's second quickest 400m-200m in 10.81 before peaking on her run.

Buckaroo is ready to peak and was strong through the line, clocking 11.14 for his final 200m. He is screaming for a wet track where he produces his peak figures.

The Group 1 Galaxy (1100m) produced a thrilling finish, and Victor, Zapateo, had every chance in the run. Still, she sprinted the race equal quickest 400m-200m in 10.65 and then maintained a strong finishing speed to the line to hold off the late challengers.

Sunshine In Paris was resuming off a long break, and her effort was full of merit.

The mare travelled in the inferior ground and was forced to stay there in the straight. The clock backed up her late visual strength as she ran the entire meeting's fastest, final 200m in 11.00. Follow her over more ground.

Veight outtoughed his opponents to salute in the Group 1 George Ryder Stakes (1500m).
The colt absorbed the high-pressure event and ran a solid overall time in 1:28.09, and that race rated well relative to the day.

Stick with Think About It, who has had factors against him in both of his runs this campaign.
The gelding was second-up and always had to face the breeze in the fast tempo. He battled on well to finish fifth. He can improve significantly with a more favourable race setup.

A quick mention of the final Group 1 being the Rosehill Guineas and Riff Rocket was fantastic winning that assignment.

He wasn't suited to the pace of the race, had to make a long-wide sustained sprint, and was strong through the line, running the race's quickest final 200m in 11.28.

Ceolwulf is also Derby-bound and ran the race's quickest final 600m in 33.77.

Fastets last 600m: Via Sistina 32.81
