BEST BETS HIGH FIVE (Race 2) INTO THE LIGHT (Race 6)

RACE 1 - 1:40PM Commercial Hotel Strathalbyn Fillies & Mares Maiden Plate (1350 METRES)

Heidi Heidi Ho was friendless in betting on debut when beaten 1.1 lengths behind Exalted Kate at Gawler. She draws a nice gate and finds a winnable maiden. OPPORTUNE CHANCE has been placed at five of eight runs, the latest at Clare when 2nd behind Laila's A Gem when a $2.30 favourite. She draws out but looks well placed. ELECTRA BLUE has finished 4th at three of four runs the latest here behind Into The Light which is solid enough form for this. GALLIUM has been around the mark and can be in the mix.

RACE 2 - 2:15PM Fleurieu Community Bendigo Bank Colts, Geldings & Entires Maiden Plate (1350 METRES)

High Five is a former Kiwi on debut for Michael Hickmott. His trial was OK and he was set to run favourite when scratched at the gates here a couple of weeks back. This looks another winnable maiden. LITTLE CHICAGO was runner-up here four runs back when 2nd behind Be Brave and again solid when 2nd behind Amelia Valentina at Balaklava. He draws a good barrier and is going to win a maiden shortly. DOUBLE YOU OWE was good on debut running 2nd behind A Samurai Mind at Murray Bridge. He was OK at his next run beaten 2 lengths behind Zesty Spice and then only beaten 3.3 lengths behind Amelia Valentina last time at Balaklava. AFRICARN LAD comes off a good effort when 2nd behind Flambard here as a $13 chance. SEVEN SHOTS led when 3rd in the same race. He draws out but should be in the mix. MY CRACKLING hasn't finished further back then 4th at his past four runs and was placed behind Proven Correct at Murray Bridge last time out.

RACE 3 - 2:50PM Fleurieu Milk Company Maiden Plate (1200 METRES)

Agressive Bee has been placed at seven of 13 starts and gave a bold sight when she led and was only reeled in late to be beaten a length behind Who's Afraid at Murray Bridge over 900m. The 1200m could test. Stablemate GEOKAUN was good in the same race when he finished off well beaten 1.1 lengths. The draw is against but extra trip a positive. SOODON is on debut for Craig Curtis and was OK running second in a recent Morphettville jump-out. Keep an eye on the betting, the stable has a good strike-rate. HIGH ON SUGAR had specking last start when beaten 4 lengths behind Bene Magic at Murray Bridge. UNISPHERE has had the two trials ahead of his debut for the Blanch stable and was beaten 2.1 lengths in his latest at Oakbank.

RACE 4 - 3:25PM North East Auto Wholesalers Benchmark 56 Handicap (2050 METRES)

Fizique was a winner here three starts back beating Mr George and was a $2.80 favourite when beaten 2 lengths behind Scottish Soldier here last time. BELLMAN has finished 3rd at his past two. Here two runs back behind Scottish Soldier before he was sent out a $2.80 fav when beaten 3.9 lengths behind Shakespeare at Streaky Bay last weekend. Stablemate CHOSEN MISS was runner-up behind Hostess Susie here three starts back and OK behind Tembu Bay at Murray Bridge last time. PRINCE TIKEA has tackled some better races and was OK when beaten 5.2 lengths behind Persian Empire at Murray Bridge last week. He was runner-up at Bordertown three starts back and is looking for a trip like this. RED SEQUOIA was solid in the market and made good late ground behind Scottish Soldier last time out. EIGHT ON THE DOT was placed at Balaklava behind Master Of Zerprise before he was beaten 18.8 lengths behind Excelleration in the Adelaide Cup. This is a big drop in class, but he has only won the one race. PLAISIR was good when 2nd behind Master Of Zerprise when he was backed into favourite and should be in the mix.

RACE 5 - 4:00PM Milang Caravan Park Benchmark 56 Handicap (1600 METRES)

Pulambi has been placed at three of four runs here the latest behind FIAMETTE when she was a $2.50 favourite. She gets in well after the claim from the inside. ZOFFERELLA came from a mile back when beaten 2.7 lengths in 5th at Port Lincoln three runs back and was then solid beaten 1.2 lengths there behind Fearless Al. She got back again there last time but can run well from a middle gate. Stablemate LORD TURNBURY was runner-up at Clare last time behind One Sky Above Us. MR RODMAN had solid market support when 2nd behind Mandragorian at Port Lincoln last time. He's placed at two of his three runs here and must be respected.

SELECTIONS: 3 PULAMBI, 8 Zofferella, 1 Mr Rodman, 4 Fiamette PLAY: Backing PULLAMBI but small each-way play on ZOFFERELLA (1/4) at the $15 in early markets.

RACE 6 - 4:35PM Sportsbet Set a Deposit Limit Benchmark 56 Handicap (1350 METRES)

Into The Light is a handy filly who was too good here last time out breaking her maiden with a 1.5 length win over Seeking Stardom. She draws the inside and should be hard to beat again. GARRIRE was a winner here two runs back and then OK when beaten 1.2 lengths in 3rd behind Final Chance last time. TERAMBI was solid first-up from a spell here behind Cararada before proving too good for On The Scent. He draws a nice gate and gets in well with the claim. CLUB PUNTER was six weeks between runs when he loomed before peaking on his run at Murray Bridge behind Zero Inn last week. SHALAGA was placed at his first three runs here in SA before running down the track at Bordertown last time. SEA OF SECRETS has won both his starts here, both back in May.

RACE 7 - 5:10PM Sportsbet Same Race Multi Class Two Handicap (Heat of the Festival State Sprint Series) (1200 METRES)

Kristobel was a good winner on the Parks three starts back beating Cararada before she was runner-up behind Zebella there. She was OK there last time when beaten 4.5 lengths behind Sir Sway in a handy race and draws a nice gate. BELLALIQUE was OK at Balaklava last time when beaten 1.1 lengths in 2nd behind Zufasta. Jake Toeroek goes back on and she should give this a shake. DARE TO BE FREE was a winner here in October beating Burning Bright before she was placed behind Ruling Goddess. She won a recent Oakbank trial and has been placed fresh. CLARENCE was a Murray Bridge winner over the 900m before a solid effort there up in class when beaten 0.8 lengths behind Lunar Hero. Stablemate TWO TIMES TWICE comes out of the same race when beaten 4.8 lengths and was a winner on the Parks last March. LUNASHA was easy in betting before scoring a good 2.3 length win here over Togetherforever last time. She should be in the mix. KUBLAI was good winning at Balaklava two runs back before he was OK beaten 2.2 lengths in 4th behind Storyteller in town on the Parks. That's good form for this. NO ENTITLEMENT was a Gawler winner two runs back and followed up with an OK effort beaten 3.9 lengths behind Chosen Blonde on the Parks.
