The rail remains in the true position, while the track remains a Good 4 with perfect conditions forecast.

For our thoughts on the entire meeting, read on below.

RACE 1 - 1:00PM: Sportsbet Fast Form Handicap (1000 METRES)

Grinzinger Love is a talented filly making her third start for Danny O'Brien.

The two-year-old by Hellbent debuted in a Stakes race at Flemington last month where she ran on late for third, returning three weeks later at Morphettville where she was forced to make up ground from a wide position.

She's had her runs spaced, but should present fitter now for both attempts.

With 3kg off now under Blake Shinn, a handy ride close to the speed should see her go close.

RACE 2 - 1:35PM: MRC Foundation Win a Mazda CX-3 Plate (1200 METRES)

Here The Crowd loomed the winner on debut at Sandown a fortnight ago before she swallowed up over the final 50m and forced to settle for third.

The daughter of Trapeze Artist stuck on well along the fence in the early going, forced to check across heels down the straight – a move that likely cost her a stride or two.

She should derive plenty of improvement from that effort though, and with the inside gate again to her favour, she rates the one to beat.

RACE 3 - 2:10PM: Sportsbet Set A Deposit Limit Plate (1600 METRES)

Inexorable is a six-start maiden that has gone close in his last four attempts since resuming.

Grahame Begg's three-year-old was a clear third behind Fistsofffury two back in the Vobis Gold Reed over the mile, stepping out a few weeks later at Geelong where he stuck to the task well on a heavy track.

Damian Lane retaining the ride is a huge plus, while the drop back to the mile looks ideal on a much firmer track.

RACE 4 - 2:45PM: Whisky, Wine & Fire Handicap (1000 METRES)

Jewel Bay is an experienced 1000m specialist who warrants big respect in his return to the races.

The Hayes-trained son of Cable Bay hasn't had a trial leading in, but he did look in good order during a recent jump out at Bendigo.

Form around the likes of Australian Guineas winner Southport Tycoon reads well on the resume, and with an unbeaten record first-up, he should prove very hard to beat.

RACE 5 - 3:20PM: Senet Gambling Law Experts Handicap (1000 METRES)

Nokhbah comes back to race over 1000m after finding the line nicely at Stawell two weeks ago over a touch further.

The I Am Invincible mare was taken forward under the hand of Blaike McDouggall, leading for most of the way before she was grabbed right before the post.

That was her first run back off a four-week break, so there is scope for natural improvement with Michael Dee hopping back into the irons.

With good early speed engaged, she rates one of the key chances.

RACE 6 - 3:55PM: ive > Handicap (1200 METRES)

Light Wish looks to be an above-average filly for trainer Nikki Burke.

The three-year-old by Written Tycoon was installed at short odds on debut at Cranbourne late last month, storming into the clear at the top of the straight where she put her rivals to bed by five lengths.

She's drawn a trickier gate this time with Craig Williams on board, but if she finds clear air out of the home turn, she'll likely prove too good for these again.

RACE 7 - 4:30PM: Stow Storage Solutions Handicap (1600 METRES)

Heed The Omens picked up nicely to win his maiden over the mile at Sandown second-up.

The Chris Waller-trained son of Hallowed Crown had everything in front of him approaching the home straight, responding well under Ben Melham to find top clear and win by close to a length.

This is tougher, but he's still got room for improvement with fitness on his side.

If he can slide across early from barrier 9 and land just off the speed, he should be right in this.

RACE 8 - 5:05PM: Sportsbet Same Race Multi Handicap (1800 METRES)

Bavicia has drawn a much tidier gate after blowing the start a couple of weeks ago at Flemington.

The Kiwi import gave good chase to finish within 4.5 lengths of the impressive Sea What I See, but it was still a disappointing performance after making up good ground in the run home here over the track and distance prior.

Providing he jumps well, we should see a much-improved performance with Jamie Kah jumping in the saddle now for the first time.
