Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Tuncurry, Rockhampton, Pinjarra, Hawkesbury and Pakenhem.

TUNCURRY: RACE 4 @ 2:45 PM

COOL DUKE (3) kept his perfect record intact when he led all the way and easily took out a Class 1 over 1250m at Taree last start, beating some of today's key rivals. Nicely in after the claim so with a bit of luck getting over from the wide gate he is the one to beat again. SO YOU SUGGEST (10) blew the start and was never a factor last time out in the race won by Cool Duke at Taree. Showed ability in her other two runs so if she gets away with them expect a bit more today. RUN RORY RUN (7) returns from a 16-week spell for a new stable. Has won three races, all at today's trip. Draws well and the blinkers go on for the first time. Watch the betting closely. HEIR APPARENT (2) ran second to an in-form galloper at the Beaumont track most recently. Very fit after three runs back so don't rule him out. Hard to knock PEE DEE (4) on the back of three straight wins.
SELECTIONS: Cool Duke to continue his winning ways.

ROCKHAMPTON: RACE 8 @ 2:32 PM

Tricky. SILVER GLITTER (10) was a big Maiden winner first-up and then was heavily backed missing a lip this grade at Townsville. Fitter and expect her to see out the longer sprint. Gets the nod. MARGOT BARBIE (5) won that contest leading all the way. She's likely to control the race and with a measured ride should see it out. ROCKY RICH (2) won a Maiden at Toowoomba on debut as expected over 1100m. As with the above, he has an awkward barrier but won't have to improve much to make the finish. VICTORY STATEMENT (12) brings good form from the poly. She's a chance if that translates to the turf and Byrne sticks in the saddle.
SELECTIONS: Leaning to Silver Glitter.

PINJARRA: RACE 1 @ 12:52 PM

JANNY (3) just missed first-up and then found more like her best leading and winning here. Pike sticks aboard and fitter she can go right on with it. JAZ SESSION (6) also races forward and won comfortably on the Scarpside first-up. Will be further improved and also has winning claims. RED SQUARE (1) resumes and is up to this if presented forward. Has trialled solidly and has earned top weight. OCEAN OUTLAW (5) resumed with a solid effort at Ascot and has plenty up the sleeve. Keep onside.
SELECTIONS: With Janny.

HAWKESBURY: RACE 1 @ 12:40 PM

SUMMER SOIREE (1) improving with each run in first prep and has her hoof on the till after sitting on the pace when a close-up third over 1250m at Newcastle on April 5. Backs-up quickly and should prove too strong for these. OUTCAST GIRL (7) handy filly resuming after bumping into some smart types last time in. Came to the end of her prep when sixth over 1600m at Kembla Grange on November 18. Since fitted with a recent trial and expected to have top-three claims. BIANCO NERO (6) in need of the run when resumed from a six-month spell when a plugging sixth over 1250m at Newcastle on April 3. Fitter now and the extra trip suits. Maps to get the right run. NEGRONIS (5) resumes after a six-month break. Failed to fire in two runs last time in and is expected to have developed further over the break. Had two trials in readiness for this and must be kept safe.
SELECTIONS: Summer Soiree to win.

PAKENHAM: RACE 2 @ 5:45 PM

ANGLAND (3) could not have been more impressive strolling to an easy win here on debut a fortnight ago. Rises in grade this time but looks up to the task. Expected to go close again. REPRISAL (4) returns from a break. Rounded out last preparation competing against some handy performers. Suited here fresh and is expected to run well. RACKEMANN (1) is coming off a break. Looked good winning maiden at Sandown two starts back then had cardiac arrhythmia last time at Pakenham and was spelled. Certainly one to watch fresh. TRUFFLE FINDER (6) can improve after finishing well behind a smart one first up.
SELECTIONS: Back Angland to win.
