bet365's Pick 6 Challenge puts $50,000 on the line

Leading bookmaker bet365 are putting $50,000 on the line for any logged-in member who correctly selects the winners of six specified races across the Ballarat, Randwick and Eagle Farm cards this weekend. There are also consolation prize pools of $10,000 to be split amongst those who tip five winners and $5,000 for those who 'only' pick four.

Last Saturday six customers picked four winners – each netting an $833 share of the $5,000 minor prize.

The six featured races are outlined below with the R&S team providing pre-race previews to give you an early jump.

Ballarat Race 7 - 3YO and 4YO Classic - 3.40pm

Spicy Margs (12) is one of 3 three-year-olds in this 3&4yo contest. She's also the one with the most upside with just three starts to her name and first up last time in she was dominant at Caulfield showing sustained speed to win well. Likely leads from the inside gate, she'll give a big sight. A Little Deep (8) has won 2/3 starts to date, far too good at Moe first up over 1000m. Harder here but looks very capable. Berry Bubbly (6) was a handy winner over the 955m at Moonee Valley second up from a spell. She has won over 1100m prior and maps for every chance. Vagrant (7) is better over a touch further but will be hitting the line strongly. Veecee (10) showed very good promise early days but was awful at his only run last preparation. Jump outs haven't been all that flash either.

Randwick Race 7 - The Ingham - 4.00pm

Attractable (10) consistent miler who keeps flying under the radar. Went out hard and pinched a break topping the rise when a commanding 1.2 len winner over this track and trip in The Big Dance on November 7. Kept up to the mark when fourth in a recent trial over 1200m here on November 28. Go close. Group 1 winner Lion's Roar (19) has been kept fresh after rattling late with the 62kg from barrier 20 when second at this track and trip in The Little Dance on November 7. Impressed in recent trial win and can take this out. Group 2 winner Osipenko (6) found the line late when third over 1600m in The Gong at Kembla Grange two weeks ago. Strips fitter now but wide gate no help. Multiple Group 3 winner Vilana (4) backs-up quickly after running through the line late to secure third in the G3 Heffernan over 1400m at Caulfield last Saturday. Untried this trip and due for a change of luck.

Ballarat Race 8 - Ballarat Cup - 4.20pm

Very open edition of the Ballarat Cup. Ain'Tnodeeldun (4) was scratched from last week at Caulfield when the rain came. He's now 43 days between runs which is the query but he's just in flying form, winning his past three. The form around him has stacked up, he should go close again. Foxy Cleopatra (8) looks primed. She's hit the line strongly in two runs, flying home for second in the Cranbourne Cup last time. Gets to 2000m now, she'll be very hard to hold out. Young Werther (1) clearly comes through the best race, third in the G1 Champions Stakes last time. Gives them all weight but is hard to knock. Red Sun Sensation (11) is racing very well and should be thereabouts, as should Captain Envious (10).

Eagle Farm Race 7 - Just Now - 4.48pm

Better Get Set (3) ran above expectations with a resuming second, beaten only one length over 1200m in the Listed Tattersall's Classic at Doomben. Ben Thompson who has four wins when partnering stays on. Goes well at this longer trip and with improvement likely she should play a big role. Extremist (2) wasn't far behind the top tip when placed in the Tattersall's Classic and she beat the boys to win the Listed Keith Noud two back. Hasn't missed a place this time in. Among the leading chances. Essonne (4) has two duck eggs next to her name but they have come in Group races in Melbourne. Listed winner the last time she came to Queensland so can measure up with her A-game. Midnight In Tokyo (15) is going well enough to step up to stakes company.

Ballarat Race 9 - Tonks Plate - 5.00pm

Taunting (3) deserves to be favourite here. He's racing in fine form and was simply too quick for them at Cranbourne over 1000m last time to beat some handy sprinters by 2 lengths. He's got a very good record at 1100m and will give a big sight. Zac De Boss (7) gets in very light at the weights here, actually dropping 2.5kg from last start at listed level. Best form is certainly good enough and he can break the drought. Tycoonist (2) is interesting at a huge price. Formerly with Waller, he comes to Ballarat having been well below his best for a while now, but if he could recapture something like it, he'd be very hard to beat in a race like this. Struck By (5) is going well although 1100m may be a touch sharp. Sacred Palace (8) will be running on strongly while fresh.

Randwick Race 9 - Jack Ingham AO - 5.20pm

Group 2 winner Zoe's Promise (2) is third-up here and won third-up in the past. Comes out of a strong form race with the 61.5kg when second to Lekvarte over 1400m at Newcastle on November 18. Both wins have come at the mile and Rawiller should be able to get across early into the stalking position. Group 2 winner Promitto (1) is at his top now fifth-up and indicated a win was imminent after finishing second to Tavi Time over 1600m at Newcastle on November 18. Maps well again and Zac Lloyd retains the ride. Money From The Sky (8) has always shown above-average ability and looks to have come back well with a smart first-up win over 1550m at Canterbury. Has an even better second-up record and looks a genuine contender. Deficit (7) third-up today and won third-up previously. Slowly working his way into form and back in grade for this after catching the eye late at Kembla over this trip at latest.
