Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for December 12.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Tamworth, Wagga, Hamilton and Kilcoy.
TAMWORTH: RACE 1 @ 2:10 PM
NAAHRO (8) looks set to break his maiden status at start four after finishing off strongly to run second over 1400m at Scone on November 20. Extra distance suits and should prove too good for these. MORE FOR US (4) near his top now third-up and due for a change of luck. Hit the line late when second over 1400m here on November 28. Placed this track and trip last time in and looks the main danger. BOYS CRY (1) is a 23-start maiden finding it tough to break through. Finished second again over 1600m at Taree on November 27. Gets every chance from the good draw. REGAL MAGNATE (5) look for a sharp improvement dropping back to the mile after struggling when ninth over 1900m at Armidale on December 3. Can sneak into the minor money.
SELECTIONS: Naahro to win.
As a FREE Racing and Sports offer, below is the Tamworth Computer Card.
WAGGA RIVERSIDE: RACE 4 @ 3:40 PM
DUCHY OF CORNWALL (1) couldn't pay the punters fresh when sent out a firm favourite but did manage to make up good ground in the run home after settling well back. Sure to have come on with that run under his belt and is drawn to take closer order. Danny Beasley sticking is another push for his chances. The one to beat. PHOTO MAN (2) got off the mark in great style here last start, scoring with plenty in hand. Another sticky draw to overcome but should have enough early dash to do so. Can go on with it. BREAKAWAY WEEK (4) is knocking on the door. Fought hard to hold onto a minor placing last start at Canberra. Gets in well at the weights with the 3kg claimer engaged and is in the mix. DIAMOND FLYER (3) next. SELECTIONS: Duchy Of Cornwall the one to beat.
HAMILTON: RACE 3 @ 2:30 PM
MAID AN OFFER (10) showed plenty of ability on debut with a close-up second at Ararat and will have taken benefit from that race day experience. Farley sticks in the saddle and should be in this for a long way from the low draw. ACTAEON (1) has hit the top four in four of six starts to date and gets the services of Yendall in the irons. Fitter now and is capable of taking this out. ALICE DOWNS (15) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and can make her presence felt. CHOCKABLOCK (13) next in line from the Dabernig camp.
SELECTIONS: Maid An Offer to win.
KILCOY: RACE 4 @ 3:27 PM
DEELOSH (4) just missed over a sprint at Ipswich and was tried there over 1666m and pulled up with an issue. Has a low barrier and is worth another chance. SCENIC RIM (1) seeks the hat-trick following a comfortable win in better class. Gets more weight but can control the race from the rail and is sure to be hard to beat. DAZZLING FLASH (3) has been close-up twice since the CL3 win and the 2kg claim is handy. A chance if the awkward barrier is managed. TOMBOY'S SPIRIT (8) will be better back to the turf and goes into the trifecta at least.
SELECTIONS: Backing Deelosh.
