Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Belmont Park, Ipswich, Tamworth and Taree

BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 2:12 PM

KINGS SICARIO (1) may find this easier than recent races he's contested, finishing just 2.2L away in a much stronger event than this most recently. The wide draw doesn't hurt and he's well placed in this company. Looks ready to get the job done. DASH OF BRANDY (7) rattled home first-up when huge odds at Pinjarra and should improve with the run under her belt and with the extra journey. Drawn a touch better this time and if she can improve on her fresh effort, she's sure to be making her presence felt. CIAO BLOOMY (6) ran over the top to win at Pinjarra when favourite three weeks ago. Makes the logical step up in class and Whiting strikes at 21% when riding for Bakranich. Should be in the finish. SUPER ROMANI (2) is a stayer resuming but finds the right race to make an impression first-up. RED FLORA (5) looks ready for the rise in trip and is a must for exotics players.
SELECTIONS: Kings Sicario looks well placed.

IPSWICH: RACE 3 @ 12:22 PM

VIGANOTTO (7) switched barns and missed by 1L at Kilcoy over this distance. Was backed deep into the red and won't have to be much improved to go one better. PRINCESS LUTETIA (12) resumes for the Currie barn and owns a trial win. Two back she just missed at Gatton on debut heavily bet this distance range. Will have come on and has to be kept very safe. BRAVE SAILOR (2) turned the form around narrowly beaten here over this trip. That stacks up but the outside barrier has to be managed today. BIZ CLASS (1) has switched barns on a 15-day return. Will push forward and has been threatening over short sprints. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and deserves consideration.
SELECTIONS: Going with Viganotto.

TAMWORTH: RACE 4 @ 3:35 PM

SMOKIN' CRAZY (5) is a lightly raced mare who returned from a seven-week let-up last start with an encouraging third over 1400m at Mudgee, making good late inroads. Will take a lot from that run and the extra furlong looks ideal at this stage. SEAHAVEN (1) made it two minor placings from as many appearances this prep when third over the mile here four weeks ago. Major player dropping back from open class to a Benchmark race. On-pacer TURNAWAY (6) has raced well through this campaign without winning. Led with the blinkers on last Sunday only to be nailed late over 1400m at Coonamble. Drops sharply in the weights and can give some cheek. DANZA IN THE DARK (2) started favourite and looked to have every chance but might have been one run short last start over 1400m at Armidale. New to this trip but should be competitive. RURA PENTHE (3) was strong late over 1400m at Armidale recently. Ran a nice race at Scone at his only previous try at a mile. In the mix.
SELECTIONS: Smokin' Crazy to score.

TAREE: RACE 5 @ 3:55 PM

WHITE ARENDELLE (9) promising filly who resumed with an encouraging fourth over 1200m at Gosford on December 8. Undefeated second-up and maps well for this. The one to beat. ATACAMA (1) resumes today after holding his form over the mile at the provincials last time in. Expected to sprint well fresh with two trials under his belt. SIXFOOTONE (6) disappointed as fav second-up when a wilting ninth over 1200m at Tuncurry on December 11. Fitter now and drop in weight suits. SLUSH FUND (11) broke his maiden status here with a strong on-pace victory over 1300m at Tuncurry on December 11. Well drawn and can win again.
SELECTIONS: White Arendelle to win.
