Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Canterbury, Moruya, Cranbourne, Geelong, Sunshine Coast and Esperance.

CANTERBURY: RACE 5 @ 8:00 PM

LOVERO (9) underrated mare with good fresh form resuming. Raced with distinction in tougher company last time in when third to PETULANT in Bm78 company over 1200m on August 5. Since fitted with two solid trials and no shock to see her finish over the top of these. XPRESSO (1) much better effort second-up when ran on late to fail narrowly when second over 1100m at Randwick on January 6. Goes well this course and distance and watch for him late. DEEP ROMANCE (2) nice return in easier grade when resumed with a good on-pace win over 1150m at Beaumont (Newcastle) on December 26. Expected to figure prominently again. LADY SHENANIGANS (10) relished the soft going two back when a surprise winner over 1000m at Randwick on December 26. Comes out of a strong race after disappointing when seventh over 1100m at Randwick on January 6. Claim helps and has the ability to take a hand in the finish.
SELECTIONS: Lovero to win.

MORUYA: RACE 4 @ 3:25 PM

VAIN INVADER (3) showed plenty of ticker to keep to her challenge when resuming at Warwick Farm last start, chasing gamely into a midfield finish. Shouldn't find this as tough from the gate and is a second-up winner. Leading player. CRACKALACKA (1) doesn't win out of turn but boasts best figures that measure up. A two-time winner at this course and is aided at the weights with the 1.5kg claimer engaged. Warrants respect. NAPOLEON SOLO (2) wasn't far away here when resuming but struggled to follow it up last time out in testing conditions. Shoulders a terrific record third up and is sure to turn in a much better showing. ROMAN HANDS (6) makes his Australian debut in his first run for Danielle Seib. Don't write him off.
SELECTIONS: Vain Invader to win.

CRANBOURNE: RACE 5 @ 8:15 PM

HUESCA (3) looks very well placed in this. He didn't win a race last time in despite starting hard in the market for 3/4 runs but was good against some fairly strong opposition in Sydney. Drops back a notch or two here and if he runs to his best he'll take a power of beating. MAGNUM BULLET (6) comes here third up having run very well at 100-1 first up at Flemington, unable to back it up there last time. Easier here and can bounce back strongly. ALONG THE RIVER (2) placed in a handy race at Caulfield two back and again wasn't far off them at Moonee Valley last start. Suited here. KUMICHO (7) is up a grade but was good second up and is a place chance. EXETER (1) is good enough on his day but needs to lift.
SELECTIONS: Huesca to win.

GEELONG: RACE 2 @ 2:30 PM

GHIDI (9) is unlucky to be a maiden placing at the past three outings and strikes a very winnable contest here. Has placed over this distance range and Farley sticks in the irons. Looks the one they all have to run down. SCONAERO (4) strips fitter third-up from the spell and gets 2kg weight relief with the claim. Looms as the main danger. THINK SHE ROCKS (12) wasn't too far off them on debut and has since been given time to mature. Draws low and can play a role in the outcome. HELLOFASTORM (10) has been thereabouts in both runs to date and can feature while fresh. VERSAIDER (13) next in line with Coffey on board.
SELECTIONS: Ghidi to break through.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 9:10 PM

SACRED MISSION (1) will find this easier than his last attempt in The Wave and his prior form was good, highlighted by a Doomben win two back. He is nicely placed to return to winning form. TWICE ON SUNDAY (2) is closing in on a win, last time out finishing third over 2060m at Doomben when 2.7 lengths from the winner. Leading hope. PENDING (7) was a narrow winner two back at this track then kept chasing for second last time so could be looking for the extra 200m. TONI TOO (3) is hard to knock off a string of top-three finishes including a win at this course and distance two back. Respect. TIGER FOR LIFE (5) put the writing on the wall last time and will be close to peaking.
SELECTIONS: Backing Sacred Mission coming back to his right grade.

ESPERANCE: RACE 6 @ 5:20 PM

COUSIN NICCI (4) missed a nose and then lifted his figures easily winning the CL1. He won't need to be improved much to be delivering again. DAWN AMNESTY (9) has been busting to win but has a wide barrier and will need an extra good ride from the 1.5kg claimer. LOST SMILE (3) just missed here two back as a $4 favourite. The extra 100m helps but the gate is awkward. BEAUTY IN ME (7) has been racing in town before finding a place at Narrogin. Is up to this but is another who will need plenty of luck.
SELECTIONS: Backing Cousin Nicci.
