Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for February 07.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Warwick Farm, Sandown, Eagle Farm, Murray Bridge and Belmont.
WARWICK FARM: RACE 2 @ 2:55 PM
DUCASSE (4) hails from a handy family (half to G3 winner Serene Majesty) and showed plenty of ability when last in work placing at Group 2 level. This is the easiest contest he has struck to date and can finally shed the maiden tag against this lot. DETENDU (2) just ran into one better here on debut and will have derived a stack of benefit from that day at the races. Looks a serious threat. LISTENTOZOU (7) has placed around this circuit and J Mac sticks in the irons. Top-three conveyance.
SELECTIONS: Ducasse to get the maiden out of the way.

SANDOWN-LAKESIDE: RACE 5 @ 6:00 PM
VERSILIA (6) looks nicely placed in this. She was good first up behind recent G3 winner Vagrant and was sound again in 2nd behind the smart Eternal Flame at Caulfield second up. Ready to peak now, gets every chance from the inside draw and should go close. MISS PASSION (8) has been racing very well of late, never finishing out of the placings this campaign. Lane takes the ride and that can be the difference. LONGTIMEDREAMING (3) finished last in a field of 3 on heavy ground at Warrnambool last start. Her form prior was very good so expect improvement. BOLD MANNER (1) is going well and right in this.
SELECTIONS: Versilia to win.
EAGLE FARM: RACE 6 @ 5:10 PM
OCEAN ZAR (10) continued the consistent form of last campaign when she resumed over 1200m at Doomben and settled last before hitting the line hard for third, beaten 2.3 lengths. Blinkers go on and she has yet to miss a place either here or at this longer trip. Won her lone second-up attempt so goes on top. TWYFORD (3) progressed nicely last time out to finish just a long neck from the winner in third over 1350m at Ipswich. Does his best work at this distance and should be approaching his peak. EXTESSIVE (6) has run on in both outings since a fresh placing. Goes well at this distance and is race fit now. HILL BILLY FLYER (4) races well third-up so could be ready to show his best. BEEF WEEK PRINCESS (1) was a determined winner two back before tackling the Ballina Cup last start. Capable of featuring.
SELECTIONS: Ocean Zar to win off the first-up eye-catcher.
MURRAY BRIDGE: RACE 3 @ 2:50 PM
HOLMES (4) is nearing his first win after finding one better in both runs back here. Strips fitter third up and is drawn kinder. Ready to get off the mark. THE PENSKE FILE (7) has taken a step forward with each run under his belt this time in, most recently digging deep to get into the frame at Mt Gambier. Should be hitting his peak now and gets his chance. UNDER THE CONE (11) has found the line nicely in his first two starts and is building towards a win. Leading rider sticks in Jake Toeroek and is drawn low. Big danger. WINNING AURA (9) is capable of much better than his latest run suggests. Next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Holmes to win.
BELMONT PARK: RACE 6 @ 6:00 PM
SNAZZLER (1) peaks and has been close-up his last three. Has a handy 2kg claim and is suited in this line-up. Gets his chance. BE AWESOME (6) did about what was expected on resumption and will be much sharper today. The mile suits and Chris Parnham takes over on the Williams-trained galloper. Can race handier today and is a player. SILVER EYE (4) has been around the mark and will be fitter again. Has a wide gate but has his first go over 1600m and deserves plenty of consideration. ZAZA ROCK (2) resumed at Ascot in stronger and didn't do a bad job from the wide barrier. Has a low alley today and a handy 2kg claim in easier grade. Performs second-up and can make quick improvement.
SELECTIONS: Snazzler appeals most.
