Racing and Sports highlight our standout plays at Australian TAB meetings for February 26.
Australian thoroughbred Tab meetings are today held at Newcastle, Nowra and Thangool
NEWCASTLE: RACE 3 @ 3:05 PM
MISS AMORE (5) three-year-old filly by Pierro out of My True Love on debut for the Waterhouse/Bott yard. Three recent trials have looked solid and forward showing expected. REINE OF NINE (9) has finished in the minor money at three of her five starts. Solid return at Bathurst as favourite when hitting the line late to secure second over 1100m on February 2. Genuine top-three contender. QUEEN OF SHADOWS (8) Written By filly from Farasha on debut. Ran fourth at her most recent trial at Wyong on January 31. Respect any positive betting move. MISS ADAMAS (2) was well fancied last time and finished a close second over 1000m at Gilgandra to remain a maiden. Will find this a little tougher but is not to be discounted.
SELECTIONS: Miss Amore to make a bold debut.

NOWRA: RACE 5 @ 4:05 PM
KENICHI (3) has returned in great order this campaign and can continue on his merry way. Drove hard to score three back at Wagga, before going down narrowly at the Sapphire coast. Stuck on gamely into fifth last start at Randwick in a bunch finish for the minors. Carries more weight in an easier assignment and only needs to hold his form to be in the finish. OPEN SKY (2) capitalised on a close minor placing first up with a strong win against C1 company here last start. Faces a similar challenge. Warrants serious consideration. SYCAMORE (4) made light work of her rivals last start at Braidwood. Needs to go up a rung or two but deserves respect. IMPRESSIERO (6) next best.
SELECTIONS: Backing Kenichi to win.
THANGOOL: RACE 6 @ 4:50 PM
PAPASITO (2) led all the way to score as favourite on debut over 1100m at Rockhampton six-and-a-half months ago and while he has not been produced since he has been readied for his return with a trial. Has plenty of upside and can work through his grades this time. EL OF A SENORITA (4) was well fancied when resuming last start over 1050m at Rockhampton when third, beaten 2 lengths. Consistent mare who should be improved and is drawn to advantage. Major player. SEQUACIOUS (10) continued a string of top-three finishes when she resumed with a third at Roma. Races well second up and is aided by the inside gate.
SELECTIONS: Papasito to make it two from two.
