Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Grafton, Pakenham, Bordertown, Terang, Wellington, Sunshine Coast and Narrogin.

GRAFTON: RACE 8 @ 4:45 PM

THE MAXINATOR (10) returned in great style last start over 1195m at this track, storming home to be beaten just 0.6 lengths by the in-form Cabsav. Has won twice from three second-up runs. Draws a little better today so he has the right profile to take this out. BONJOUR RUPERT (11) travelled a bit keenly but finished the race of nicely to get up for second last time out over this course and distance. Very fit galloper who is nearing a long overdue win. YUKANUMA (12) is not racing well but is back in grade at his favourite track so might surprise a few. SIR BOO (9) next best.
SELECTIONS: Keen on The Maxinator.

PAKENHAM: RACE 4 @ 2:15 PM

BLANDFORD LAD (1) is a classy jumper who should take beating in this. He'll likely have bigger targets down the track but the two miles is his preferred distance and he looked very good winning a recent jumps trial by 15 lengths. Clearly the one to beat. THE MIGHTY SPAR (5) creates interest over from New Zealand. He's a good flat horse coming off a 2100m win and has won over the jumps before. Watch the market. FABALOT (2) is a handy jumper who should be fitter for two flat runs back. He won by 12 lengths at his last jumps run. EL DIEZ (4) is a veteran jumper who could place while OUT AND DREAMING (3) should be competitive.
SELECTIONS: Blandford Lad to win.

BORDERTOWN: RACE 4 @ 3:23 PM

LITTLE RICH BOY (3) doesn't boast the best winning strike rate but rarely turns in a poor one. Rates highly on best figures and goes well over this journey. Expect him to be featuring in the finish. MISS GATSBY (10) finds the second win elusive but again turned in a solid performance when beaten a neck at Penola. Consistent type that is capable of making her presence felt. JUSTICA'S BONUS (2) chased strongly into the placings when resuming at Clare. Sure to have taken improvement from the hit-out and shapes as one of the key chances. ZOULY (9) has done a good job to find the frame in both resuming efforts. Hasn't won for a very long time but gets her chance third-up.
SELECTIONS: Backing Little Rich Boy to win.

TERANG: RACE 3 @ 2:40 PM

EVERLASTING KISS (10) raced in the Oaks and resumed with a 0.5L defeat at Pakenham over a mile. The extra metres suit and fitter she's likely to have an edge. EARLY WARNING (7) peaks off a string of placings and went close latest heavily bet. Has a handy gate and gets another chance. HERRLICH (2) is an improver in good hands and can build on the nice sprint effort at Bendigo first up. Races forward and can make the finish if she runs it right out. NIGHT CRYER (3) was second up and missed a whisker in the EARLY WARNING race. Improved sharply and from a low barrier will get every chance to progress.
SELECTIONS: Backing Everlasting Kiss.

WELLINGTON: RACE 6 @ 1:59 PM

DASHO LENNIE (3) promising entire from the Maher yard who jumped in grade when a fighting 2.75 lens third over 1900m at Rosehill in BM78 company on March 16. Back in trip for this and will prove hard to hold out. ITA (2) tough mare expected to play a leading role after running on late when third over 1500m at Newcastle on April 6. Quick back-up suits and looking for this trip now. Genuine top-three prospect. LOCKDOWN GAMBLE (12) drops sharply in weight today with the claim after chasing hard when third over 1500m at Hawkesbury on March 19. Trip shouldn't pose a problem and worth more than a passing glance. DANISH PRINCE (4) is another that can give this a shake.
SELECTIONS: Dasho Lennie to win.

SUNSHINE COAST: RACE 7 @ 5:00 PM

BRAVE MASO (7) has had two starts back both in stronger at Eagle Farm. He performs third-up and is going to be much sharper over the mile and at this level. Maps for a soft run and the 2kg claim brings him right into it. QUADRI (10) has been within range at Doomben his two starts this preparation. He's a third-up winner with more up the sleeve ready to fire. Maps for a soft run and has been kept on the fresh side. HOUSTON ROCKET (2) has been sprinting well and performs over this distance. Needs luck from the wide gate but is in the mix. SIAN STAR (6) went back-to-back at Ipswich and has been around the mark there the two since. Running out a strong mile is the query with him.
SELECTIONS: Backing Brave Maso to win.

NARROGIN: RACE 6 @ 5:45 PM

COCKTAIL PARTY (6) was brilliant first-up at Belmont before tackling Open 3YO company at Ascot most recently. That was a bridge too far but the run holds her in good stead way back in grade today. Should find the font and take plenty of catching. DEMITO (9) sat outside the leader and proved too good over 1100m at Albany most recently. The wide draw may be a little niggle, but she rates well off her last start and rarely puts in a bad effort. IMA WILD GIRL (10) contested plenty of good races last campaign, with her maiden win coming over 1200m at this trip in October. No trials coming in is interesting, but the booking of Parnham suggests she's ready to go. Can play a major role. CHARMING BELLE (8) drops back in trip which is a niggle, but if they overdo it up front she's sure to be strong to the finish. THE ANVIL (4) is better than what he showed last time out and can improve.
SELECTIONS: Keen on Cocktail Party.
