The Grant Williams trained Very Special has proven very impressive in her first two career starts and appears well placed to notch up the hat-trick at Ascot on Saturday.
Stepping out on debut at Bunbury back in February the daughter of Redoute's Choice proved far too good when racing up on the speed, saluting easily over 1000m.
She then proceeded to make the step up in grade at Ascot last start when digging deep to score narrowly over 1100m.
This performance recorded a new career peak and does see Very Special well placed on the quick back up.
Currently installed a $4.40 chance appears well over the odds as we have her rated a 2-1 chance and presents a great overlay opportunity.
From the gun draw expect William Pike to press forward and camp right up on the speed with the Simon Miller trained Shaytarna and the Neville Parnham trained Lenience expected to also roll forward.
While the margin of her latest victory wasn't overly decisive she did record the quickest closing sectional on the day and should prove very hard to run down in the straight.
Sticking with the Grant Williams stable later in the day with four-year-old mare Fashion Princess well placed to break back into the winner's stall.
Having returned with two encouraging performances this time in she appears set to peak racing third up and should receive all the favours from the rails draw.
She is another who presents a solid overlay opportunity given she has been installed a 5-2 chance and we have her rated closer to a $2.20 chance.
On best form she does appear to have a class edge on her rivals and is expected to be very hard to beat on Saturday.
The Vaughn Sigley trained He Or She proved quite impressive when saluting on debut at Bunbury when making up a stack of ground late however this is a big step up on Saturday and does appear under the odds on raw form.
She has been installed a 2-1 equal favourite and given the shortest we can get her is $5.50 we are more than happy to take her on and play the likes of Vengabus, Soaring Lad and Flying Zoe.
