Brisbane Best - February 27

3 minute read

Right Or Wrong will look to build on his terrific recent form when lining up in the Tattersall’s Members’ Cup (1600m) at Doomben on Saturday.

The Lindsay Gough-trained runner has won his last three starts, the most recent coming over 1650m at this course last time out.

Right Or Wrong possesses a very good record and the course and over this trip and is rarely out of the finish.

His last start effort rates very well against his rivals today and Robbie Fradd who has won 3/4 on board will maintain the ride.

Certainly short enough at the moment around $1.70 and wouldn’t be keen to take much shorter than that.

Later in the program My Little Flicka will be looking for her third win in as many starts when lining up in the Southbank Insurance Brokers 0mw.

The Ben Ahrens-trained runner scored a good win at this C/D last time out and from barrier 3 will expect her to not be far away in the run again.

Ryan Wiggins who has won 4/8 remains on board and if she runs up to her recent form she will be hard to hold out again today.

The five-year-old mare is currently at good each way odds of $5.50 and you would expect her to be in the finish once again.

Last week saw the bet of the day Sheiswhatsheis run a disappointing x with the each way play Binalong Road scoring a very good win to make it a profitable day.

Bewhatyouwannabe jumped fairly from barrier 3 and kept the leaders in view, although 5 lengths away, down the back. He closed the gap (still third) from the 1000m to the 800m where he improved a spot, holding there to the 600m. Turning in, he challenged the leader but was soon passed by Right Or Wrong and Snippets Land. These three drew away from the pack and Bewhatyouwannabe looked beaten only to come back determinedly near the fence to grab a hard fought win just before the post. Snippets Land tracked the winner down the back and held fourth around the bend. He ranged up to the winner and briefly grabbed the lead but was out-finished just before the post. Right Or Wrong raced three wide down the back, ran around the field to be handy and got alongside the first two and the three of them settled down to a great battle all the way to the post.
