ADELAIDE v WEST COAST
Sunday 26 May @ Adelaide Oval
Last game of the round suddenly became a real watch event given the style of players involved.
Sadly no Rankine with the dodgy hammy but now that Harley Reid is there, viewership will be up with regularity.
The Crows must be close to winning one of those close games and getting a decent run with the umpires.
It was absolutely the right decision to call Rankine for running too far. Those propagating that 'just let it go' mentality will undoubtedly advocate for anyone in cricket being given out lbw when it pitches outside leg that – 'oh well it would have hit so see ya later'.
The rules are the rules but it was still a good effort from the Crows to close up on Collingwood.
Now they have to bring that effort again but at least it is at home and West Coast is not the same away from Optus.
If Kelly and Reid are held, it makes it harder for Waterman and Darling up front to get the sherrin. Adelaide just has to concentrate on making that midfield less open.

Notes | Adelaide has won the last 4, West Coast the previous 5 | ||
Adelaide has kicked 100+ points last 3 clashes |
Looks the right time for the Crows to get a big win even without Rankine. If they kick 100+ points again that will see off West Coast.
