Boy does this game suddenly spark some warning signs amongst the Carlton media throng. The cheer leading has become a bit less frequent.
They were 4 goals up and rolling at the SCG. The world was a lovely place to be for some.
But then Sydney rolled the sleeves up, locked down Walsh, held the big boys down and it turned in a thrice.
They do have injuries but no one was feeling that early. Defence was only what kept the fans out. Important players like Cottrell, Martin and Cerra would have made an impact.
The big issue becomes will they have any of them over the next critical month?
Because, they might need them against a Gold Coast side who are more than capable. To beat Geelong at their home away from home was one thing.
To kick 26 goals was a warning for a few down the track to be very wary of under-estimating this lot.
