COLLINGWOOD v PORT ADELAIDE

Saturday 20 April @ MCG

The old 'prison bars' clash is shaping as a big one not only for the weeks ahead but for potentially a Finals fixturing.

Coming off the bye, the Pies won that game to end Gather Round against Hawthorn but scraping home by a mere 5 points against a weak side was hardly 'be on me next time'.

They looked good early but faded late and it got shaky very late on. The forwards just can't get any continuity.

And having relied on midfielders to kick plenty last year, can they supplement that misfiring attacking line.

Facing Port in order to do that won't be easy. While they themselves didn't kick a bag last week, neither did their opposition.

They might get the benefit of playing the week before and catch the Magpies on the run.

Port's midfield were a bit out of kilter but when it was there to be won, Butters and his mates were so influential.

Match Collingwood Port Adelaide Ground
Last time they met 13.7 [85] 12.11 [83] Adelaide Oval
Last 10 matches 5 wins 5 wins
Notes Overall record is 19-18 to Collingwood
Port Adelaide hasn't scored more than 100 points in this clash since 2016

While they do tend to be very even in playing against one another, fancy that the MCG just gives Collingwood an edge. But only just and it might be the same as last year.

No Charlie Dixon frees up Darcy Moore as well.

Match Selection: Collingwood by 2 points

Suggested Bets: Tribet (Any Other) @ $2.50 @ bet365
