Hawk Frost banned on AFL match review

3 minute read

Hawthorn's Sam Frost has been offered a one-match suspension by the AFL's match review officer for front-on contact on a Gold Coast opponent.

Hawthorn defender Sam Frost has received a one-match ban from the AFL for front-on contact on Gold Coast's Brandon Ellis.

Frost slid into Ellis late in the Suns' win in Darwin on Saturday night in an act deemed by the AFL's match review officer as careless with high contact.

Frost can accept a one-match suspension with an early guilty plea while his teammate Jarman Impey and Geelong's Isaac Smith have also been cited.

Impey has been charged with misconduct on Gold Coast's Ben Ainsworth and offered a $1000 fine with an early guilty plea.

Smith has been charged with striking Adelaide's Lachlan Murphy in Saturday afternoon's game in Geelong and has been offered a $2000 sanction with an early guilty plea.
