Western Bulldogs key forward and No.1 draft pick Isabel Huntington has been granted her wish and will join GWS next season in exchange for two draft picks.

AFLW No.1 draft pick Isabel Huntington will be granted her wish, leaving the Western Bulldogs to join GWS next season.

The Giants will trade the No.29 and 37 draft picks to recruit Huntington, who is recovering from her latest serious knee injury.

Huntington confirmed in early April that she wanted to join GWS because of study and work away from football.

The top draft pick in 2017 was the 2020 AFLW Rising Star, as well as gaining All-Australian selection and winning the Bulldogs' best and fairest award that season.

But Huntington, 23, suffered her third ACL injury in January.

"Izzy is a versatile player and brings not only great talent but great leadership through her experience in the game," said Giants women's football boss Briana Harvey.

"She's coming off an ACL injury but her rehabilitation is going really well and she'll be in good hands with our medical staff here to ensure she returns to the track as soon as possible.

"She's excited to continue her career with us and her commitment is a great endorsement for our club and for our people."

Confirmation of Huntington's move headlined Tuesday's six trades of players and draft picks.

Millie Brown will head from Geelong to the Bulldogs and the Cats have picked up Mikayla Bowen from West Coast.

Also on Tuesday, the Bulldogs announced Lisa Webb would join them from Fremantle as an assistant coach.

Webb, who also played for the Dockers, will join husband Marc, who is an assistant coach with the Bulldogs' AFL team.
