But the reality was their improvement was designed to come from within as there wasn't much coming from without.

And what looked as though it might have been a good opportunity to get Melbourne at a bad time has turned into the opposite.

They've put three on the trot and won against the odds last week at this very venue. Staying in Adelaide, the galvanising aspect is working.

Taking on Port in what looked more like a Final, their midfield covered the back line and the forwards were a lot more unpredictable. That is how they can win.

Melbourne also chase four on the bounce against the Crows and overall at the Adelaide Oval, are 5 & 1 over this opposition.

Confidence is massive and will make the Demons feeling so happy to be here. Though you can see already the Crows will be desperate as anything.

Smelling the potential for a minor upset which defies a lot of logic but until they show more, we have to take Melbourne in a close one.
