Not sure by the time we got to this stage of the season that we'd expected to be seeing Fremantle and Carlton as part of the unbeatens.

But credit to them as docking wins early in the year makes life so much easier come the pressure time when injuries, suspensions and dramas hit hard.

Amazingly both the Dockers and Blues have 3 wins and yet none of their opponents had registered a win until the Tigers on Sunday.

Freo were in a good battle with Adelaide on Good Friday until just before the half. From there it was 5 goals to 1 and while hardly exciting, it was job done.

The backs held firm and the mids went to work. That often wins you low scoring matches.

The issue there is will that work against a side who is capable of scoring large and quickly.

Carlton weren't exactly on their game on their own Good Friday exploits but when you kick 21 goals, that scares most sides.

Sure they were helped by all those 50m penalties due to North indiscretions and ill-discipline but just kick the goals.

It didn't also require Cripps to be having to do all the donkey work. There will come a time in the season where he will be required for that.

Acknowledging that the Blues have only started to come good, Fremantle has only managed 1 win from their last 7 against them.

That can't be good on a neutral venue. So Carlton can go on with it here. Cripps to start getting involved where he averages 27+ against Freo.
