Racing and Sports will provide analysis of games in the 2024 AFL Season.
We'll endeavour to run through the form, incorporate appropriate stats and also supply a betting prediction which won't always just be who will win.
WESTERN BULLDOGS v GEELONG
Saturday 6 April @ Adelaide Oval
The second of the Saturday double header reads like a rollicking match on current form where Cats and Dogs will fight.
Both coming off consecutive wins and both capable of playing attractive, attacking football when they want to with big forwards.
The Bulldogs were poor in the first game but have since put two sides to the sword – not just kicking scores but restricting output too.
Defeating West Coast won't be hard on the east coast this year but the manner of it was the nice part, especially the last half.
Once more, because Bontempelli was only required to be a bit part player and not the man, will help come August.
Have to like the way Aaron Naughton has started. Not necessarily kicking big bags but contributing, marking, bringing ball to ground and doing a lot of off the ball aid for team mates.
He will have some company this week as Geelong arrives off giving Hawthorn a little hiding. That isn't going to make big news.
They will be pleased it was without Dangerfield but missing here won't be pleasing either. Cameron in good touch though will.
The Bulldogs have not enjoyed the Cats work since 2020. Last game was the only success in that time. Tipping they can go back to back given the teams.
Match Selection: Western Bulldogs by 11 points
