3 minute read

Racing and Sports will provide analysis of games in the 2024 AFL Season.

We'll endeavour to run through the form, incorporate appropriate stats and also supply a betting prediction which won't always just be who will win.

GEELONG v NORTH MELBOURNE

Sunday 14 April @ GMHBA Stadium

This shouldn't take long to preview.

After such a pre-season of positivity and uplift, North Melbourne has done nothing at all to show they are heading in the right direction.

They could barely get interested against a concerned Brisbane Lions, played players out of position, had a few looking disinterested and lacking badly in skill levels.

Turnovers were everywhere and the Lions preyed on them. It could have been even worse.

Now they are forced to travel to the worse road trip even if only an hour up the road.

Kardinia Park is not a lovely place for rivals at the best of times and now the Kangaroos go there having lost the last 11 times they've met Geelong anywhere. The record here is almost as bad.

The Cats only just scrambled home against the Dogs in a good game. But the fact they are winning those games suggests they could be back in finals again.

Someone has to control Cameron and not sure anyone in the North defence is capable. Him or Hawkins could have a field day.

Match Selection: Geelong by 54 points

Suggested Bets: Jeremy Cameron 5+ goals @ $4.25 @ bet365
