Adelaide have had an unhappy post-script to their upset AFL win over Carlton, with Matt Crouch facing a one-game ban for forceful front-on contact.

Adelaide's outstanding AFL win over Carlton has come at a cost, with midfielder Matt Crouch facing a one-game suspension.

The Crows will have to take Crouch's charge to the tribunal to have any chance of him being available for their Friday night home game against Essendon, after he was banned for front-on contact.

Crouch collided with Carlton youngster Jack Carroll as they contested a ground ball on the outer wing at Marvel Stadium in the frenetic last quarter of Saturday's match.

It was graded as careless conduct, medium impact and high contact.

Adelaide kicked the last three goals of the game to post their first win of the season and upset the Blues, who had been unbeaten.

Crouch's captain Jordan Dawson was also charged with rough conduct, but he can accept a fine.

The same applies to Port Adelaide defender Brandon Zerk-Thatcher, who was also booked for rough conduct in their win over Fremantle.

Brisbane goalsneak Charlie Cameron was also suspended for one game on a rough conduct charge, following his dump tackle on Melbourne defender Jake Lever in Thursday night's win at the MCG.

It means the Lions will be without Cameron for their big home game next Saturday against unbeaten Geelong, unless they also succeed at the tribunal.
