CARLTON v MELBOURNE
Thursday 9 May @ MCG
A Final 8 shaper has a resurgent Demons tackling a wavering Blues at their own home ground in an away game.
It's not panic stations time down Carlton way just yet but many more losses and you begin to lose touch with the leaders.
They played pretty well against Collingwood in a top game but got Daicosed in the last minute. At times either side could have kicked clear but never did.
What they desperately require is the midfield to kick goals. Reliance on the two big boppers plus De Koning is a peril if they are well held or are out of touch.
They'll face a Melbourne side beginning to get some rumbling in a positive way. Even more impressive was that Oliver and Petracca didn't have to massively dominate (however big Maxie did).
Who will Weitering take? Possibly it's Fritsch but that might see him dragged a fair way from goal at times?

Carlton's % is 15 points less than Melbourne and while that can depend on who you play, that is a decent indicator.
As history says, expecting this to be very close and Carlton are very desperate. With Melbourne's defence in fine form, that could spell a drama for Curnow/McKay.
Melbourne but only just.
