What was once a match to excite with massive scoring hardly looks that way in 2024.
Essendon are genuinely showing great signs but North are whatever the opposite of that is.
Even though not scoring heavily and with an amazing percentage of 98.3, despite sitting 3rd on the ladder, the Bombers are getting the wins.
GWS is a good win no matter what and with the run off half back from Martin and McGrath plus the work rate in the middle, Essendon are to be taken seriously.
What isn't is what North dished up in Darwin. Right in it at the first stanza, they just gave up, showed little quality and had 15 goals to 6 kicked after that time.
The forwards aren't putting enough pressure on and some of the selections seem very weird.
