Warriors to meet on coach Brown's future

The Warriors are reportedly set to meet with Nathan Brown over his future as coach with the club having lost five straight games to be 14th on the NRL ladder.

Nathan Brown's position at the Warriors is in serious jeopardy with the NRL club set to hold a meeting to decide the coach's future.

After five straight losses, Brown is expected to meet with club owner Mark Robinson on Tuesday morning.

Brown is also believed to have told the Warriors he does not want to coach on at the club beyond his current contract, which ends after the 2023 season

But there is a real chance the former St George Illawarra and Newcastle coach may not last that long, according to a News Corp report.

A 44-12 loss to Manly on Saturday night was the Warriors most disappointing performance of the year, against a Sea Eagles side missing their two best players.

The humiliation left the Warriors in 14th spot on the NRL ladder, and with the real chance their season may be over before their first home game in Auckland in almost three years in July.

Brown insisted after the loss he was not feeling the heat and he had not run out of answers to turn around the Warriors after 18 months in charge.

"I've been coaching a long time now, so I don't coach on fear," Brown said.

"All we can do is the best we can to do, what we feel is right. I have been around too long to worry about that other stuff.

"You just keep doing what you think is right. You have to stick to it."

If Brown is moved on, New Zealand league great Stacey Jones is favoured to take over as interim coach.

Fellow assistant Justin Morgan is also considered an option.

Think. Is this a bet you really want to place?
