Parramatta had been facing the possibility of losing another experienced hand, but prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard has dodged suspension for two high tackles.

Under-pressure Parramatta have breathed a sigh of relief after prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard avoided suspension despite being placed on report twice during the loss to Canberra.

It comes as Canterbury forward Samuel Hughes prepares to fight his grade-one dangerous throw charge at the judiciary on Tuesday night.

Campbell-Gillard laid two high tackles in the final five minutes of the Eels' 41-8 loss on Sunday evening as frustrations boiled over.

The State of Origin prop appeared at risk of suspension for the first of those, which saw him make shoulder-to-head contact with Raiders utility Simi Sasagi.

The 14th-placed Eels could ill have afforded to lose Campbell-Gillard given their ongoing struggles without injured halfback Mitch Moses.

Parramatta have lost both games since Moses fractured his foot and may have to contend without him for up to six more weeks.

But on Monday the match review committee handed Campbell-Gillard only a grade-one careless high tackle charge, meaning he can escape suspension with a $1800 fine.

He dodged scrutiny for his second high shot on Xavier Savage in the final minute of the game and will line up against North Queensland this Saturday.

Out-of-favour Melbourne prop Nelson Asofa-Solomona was also fortunate to escape suspension as he works his way back to full fitness in the NSW Cup.

Asofa-Solomona went to the sin bin for hitting Brent Naden high in North Sydney's 42-16 win on Sunday, having earlier been placed on report for a cannonball tackle.

But the NSWRL confirmed on Monday that no charge has been laid against the Melbourne prop.

Warriors hooker Freddy Lussick, meanwhile, has been referred straight to the NSWRL judiciary after he was sent off in the final minutes of the club's NSW Cup loss to South Sydney.

Lussick has been charged for dangerous contact after a tackle that left Rabbitohs halfback Lachlan Ilias with a broken tibia.

Elsewhere, Sydney Roosters winger Dom Young has entered an early guilty plea for his high shot on Canterbury's Blake Taaffe and will miss upcoming games against Newcastle and Melbourne.

Hughes has entered a not guilty plea after being placed on report for a shot on Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii just after halftime in the Bulldogs' 30-26 win on Friday night.

The 23-year-old had been offered a $1000 fine, but risks having that increased to $1500 if his charge is upheld on Tuesday night.
