BACK – ELISE MERTENS +3.5 GAMES V DARIA KASATKINA (1 UNIT RECORDED AT $1.96) 

+ BACK – Elise Mertens to defeat Daria Kasatkina (0.5 units recorded at $2.70) 

As well as Daria Kasatkina has been playing this year, I'm not entirely sure she justifies a game handicap of -3.5 games in this one. Elise Mertens generally strikes me as a player with an underrated skillset. I think it is one that should lead her to match up quite well with Kasatkina. Look for Mertens to hit with depth and use that tactic to set herself up in rallies. More than comfortable backing the plus games here plus a small play on the moneyline.

BACK – YIBING WU -2.5 GAMES V YOSUKE WATANUKI (1 UNIT RECORDED AT $1.92) 

I am a big fan of Watanuki, however the game handicap in this instance looks to be set a game too low. Wu has shown his ability to find his best level in the American conditions this year, and was more than serviceable in his loss to Fritz last week. Happy to take a 1 unit position on the -2.5 games.

BACK – LLOYD HARRIS TO DEFEAT KEI NISHIKORI (0.5 UNITS RECORDED AT $2.12) 

This one is likely to take place on Tuesday night. Kei Nishikori is still quite early in his return to the ATP Tour; his final performance last week did indicate that his body was perhaps struggling to hold up with rigours of back-to-back matches. Against a strong server in Harris, who looked solid himself in Atlanta having made his way through qualifying, I'm curious to see how Nishikori holds up physically. Just a small back of Harris here.

BACK – JAMES DUCKWORTH TO DEFEAT OTTO VIRTANEN (1 UNIT RECORDED AT $1.68) 

I think the outdoor conditions in Los Cabos are likely to aid James Duckworth here. He's had some hardcourt experience under his belt from last week, as well as recent Challenger tournaments. Virtanen's best hardcourt results this year have come in the pristine indoor conditions. I am more comfortable stepping into the moneyline price here than giving up games for the Australian, and will settle for a 1 unit selection at current odds.
