Last year’s Wagga Cup winner Coliseo will have to beat the record books to win Friday’s $170,000 Commercial Club Albury Gold Cup.

Hall Of Fame trainer David Hayes is set to go after his third Albury Gold Cup win in four years next Friday after nominating a strong team of three horses for the $170,000 Listed Race.

David Hayes will be looking to emulate last year’s Tasmanian Oaks success with progressive filly Green Roller after she proved too good in the Listed Strutt Stakes at Hobart on Sunday.

A team of four stayers from the Gai Waterhouse stable and a first time entry from Sydney's premier trainer Chris Waller feature among the nominations for the $225,000 AAMI Hobart Cup at Elwick on February 10.
