Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Goulburn, Inverell, Mornington and Thangool.

GOULBURN: RACE 2 @ 1:40 PM

REGION TIME (3) has been racing in better grade and go on the lip defeat at Canberra two back over a mile. The Canberra-trained galloper is suited. CHAOTIC BEAUTY (2) is a local who was back to form at Wagga. Has a handy claim and is a winning chance. MY BLUE JEANS (4) is also in strong local hands and has been knocking on the door. Will give away a start but will come hard. GREAT WEEK (6) finds winning hard but has claims in this lineup.
SELECTIONS: Region Time represents some value on a day when the best chances are well found.

INVERELL: RACE 5 @ 3:15 PM

COOL FIZZ (5) just battled fresh up when well in the market and looked to need the run. She strips fitter and slides down a grade for this, so can improve quickly. PALACE KEYS (4) is a Toowoomba visitor who will be peaking third up. He is s speedy type when he is fit and with the aid of a 2-kilo claim, he won't be far away in this at some value. BAD BOY DARBY (8) was making up steady ground last start at Grafton and has been a winner third up in the past. He also has won his only start on this track and is worthy of serious consideration. MY ONE (9) the latest effort was a fair sixth over 1000m at Tamworth. Good sign last time and shouldn't be far away.
SELECTIONS: Cool Fizz to win.

MORNINGTON: RACE 5 @ 3:00 PM

CO CO VAN WINKLE (6) is racing well this prep having won twice and placed second twice from five starts including a last start win over 1606m at Ararat after racing in behind the speed. Should race up on the speed today and looks well placed to go back-to-back. BRAZEN KINGDOM (3) jumped from the widest gate last start over 1600m at Pakenham and finished fifth of eight when well supported. He jumps from the inside gate and blinkers go on. Can atone. ORION THE HUNTER (2) won two starts back over 1406m then last start finished third of six over 1550m at Morphettville Parks after overracing in the early running. He is trained on the track and rates well as an each-way chance. BRAVISSIMA (8) finished a close-up fourth of 13 over 1300m last start at Swan Hill when sent out as the favourite. She drops 3kg in weight and looks well placed here to return to winning form.
SELECTIONS: Co Co Van Winkle to win.

THANGOOL: RACE 4 @ 2:27 PM

POET'S DAY (3) looks to be one of the better bets of the day after winning in this grade last time out by over 4 lengths. He is unbeaten on this circuit and with only 1.5 kilos more to carry, he is the one to beat again. RUBY'S LAD (2) is a handy performer on his day and his last couple of runs have been in stronger company, including a last start third at Toowoomba just over a fortnight ago. Bubba Tilley picks up the ride and he may be able to coax that little bit extra out of him where it matters most. BIE'RES (4) has been thereabouts in 4 starts since winning at the Gold Coast on their poly track in March. A 4-kilo claim will help her and she is worth including in all combinations. MOTAMAYIZ (1) is racing his way back into full fitness and is normally very competitive at this level. He is at his best over a mile and is ready to put his best hoof forward here. Each way value.
SELECTIONS: Poet's Day to win.
