Winning Trainer: Trent Busuttin & Natalie Young (Busuttin speaking)
Horse's form: "He's only a little ratty looking horse, he's all of 400 kilos ringing wet but we sent him up to Sydney twice and he just doesn't appear to go that way of going so yeah, he's bounced back. Outside of those Sydney runs there hadn't been much wrong with his form but we sort of thought the other horse would be the one to beat but it had a fairly tough run in the running so it'll bounce back, certainly good to get a win with this horse. Cunningham colours, big owners for us and good to get a win in their colours."
What impressed about the ride: "He won. He's a good young talented rider obviously, he's not the easiest horse to ride, I was sort of watching between the two horses and he was back midfield and the horse had his head in the air, so a beautiful ride and he got the job done."
Winning Jockey: Wiremu Pinn
On the win: "I just **** myself just then, they've mucked up my claim before and I thought they may have got it wrong again today but he's been really good today, there was quite a lot of speed on early and I've elected to take a sit, got three back the fence, had a beautiful run, probably raced a little bit rank, throwing his head up in the air, I think he probably just wants a little bit further, but a really good effort."
On the horse: "He doesn't really look the flashest on paper but he's very consistent and he'd never won over anything further than the 2500 so that was a little bit worrying but he showed a really good turn of foot today and I'm sure there's more to come with him when he gets over a bit more ground."
