Team Hawkes-trained filly Larapineta put up a very promising effort in scoring her first win in three starts. Having her second run this preparation, she soon drove through from her good barrier (2) to settle outside the leader (Dandy Mandy) before going to the front on straightening. She then increased her lead over the closing stages to win impressively. She is a filly to watch.
