A taking debut for the talented Kuro who despite being wayward in the straight proved far the better scoring by one and a half lengths in good time. Kuro was away well from the gates and settled on the quarters of the leader Ming. He was a little wayward on the turn and ran around in the straight, but quickened up well to race away to a soft win. A smart colt who should be followed. Ming showed good pace to lead. She fought hard in the straight but found the winner far the better. *ANZ
