The Peter Moody-trained three-year-old filly Sensibility made a good winning debut. She was allowed to drop out from her wide barrier and settled down second last in the 12-horse field. She improved between runners at the 600m and switched wide but under pressure rounding the home turn. However she responded well in the straight and raced clear in the closing stages for a strong win. She looks suited to further and is quite promising. The Hummel was handily placed near the leaders, but three wide without cover (possibly in better going). He put in a quick run to take the lead coming to the turn and looked the winner when clear at the 200m but he had no chance with the winner’s late run and battled on for second. *ANZ
