Four-year-old mare Trimensa staged a good effort to win here at her first start. She settled second last in the 12-horse field (wide with cover) and remained there to the 600m. She fanned deep on straightening, put in a strong run to challenge at the 100m and finished a bit too well to grab a good win nearing the post. She should appreciate further and is a horse to watch.
