Mick Price-trained two-year-old colt Mighty Boss scored a very promising first up win. Having only his second race start after finishing 11th in the Blue Diamond Prelude C&G (Gr 3, 1100m) in February, he settled in sixth place, wide with cover, before moving up (deep) nearing the home turn. He then raced to the front at the 100m and drew away to score easily in an impressive effort.
